After the Rain is a Japanese Manga series which is written by Jun Mayuzuki. It consists of 10 volumes and 12 episodes. The plot revolves around a 17-year-old high school student Akira Tachibana who is a part-time worker at a family restaurant and a 45-year-old divorced man who is also a father of one child.
Akira starts falling in love with the man and struggles to understand why she is falling for him and whether it’ll be okay to express her feelings to Masami. After knowing the plot it does seem like a complicated love story but it definitely isn’t like that, it is a very mature series and hence everyone enjoys watching it.
The story evolves so well till the end that there won’t be a single moment where one will get bored of watching it. This series was released in 2018 and soon after that, a Netflix adaptation was also aired.
After the Rain story
This story is based on a 17-year-old high school girl named Akira who falls in love with a 45-year-old man who is the manager of a restaurant where Akira is working. She starts becoming uncomfortable while working as every single time she used to see him her heartbeats started to race.
Her boss is a divorced man and he has a young son too, he loves to smoke and always tries to keep himself up to the mark as he doesn’t want to get categorized as a boring old man. He is polite and a kind man and always treats his customers well.
Akira is madly in love with him. Akira is also a runner she decided to leave it after a bad injury as she didn’t want to go through the rehab. We get to see how her relationship with her manager goes throughout the show.

After the Rain Season 2 release date
The show is not returning for another season as it has covered everything that was to be covered in the first season itself. All the 10 volumes of the manga were beautifully covered in the first season. The audience loved the series and was more than satisfied with the show.
It is disappointing for the fans as they won’t be getting another season but we never know what will happen next so the fans do not need to lose hope but the even if the series does return the plot of the story won’t be the same as the story with Akira is over.
