A Southern California home will be transformed into a real-life Barbie Dreamhouse by eight teams of HGTV superstars (and one Food Network star) as supermodel Graham, who has her own Barbie modelled after her and will be driving a Barbie pink Corvette on the show, serves as the host. The teams will renovate certain rooms in the house in an era-specific manner, such as an early 1960s atomic age kitchen, a 1970s disco atmosphere for Ken’s Den, and a 1980s glam-themed primary bedroom.
Those participating in the challenge will take a Southern California home and transform it into a real-life Barbie Dreamhouse that one lucky Barbie fan will win a chance to stay in. Eight teams will be recreating classic home decor looks from the iconic doll’s various eras, including an early ’60s atomic-age kitchen, a ’70s disco-style den for Ken, and a main bedroom that embodies the glam of the ’80s. The winning design team will have a donation made to Save the Children in their name.
