Black Bird is a thriller, mind-blowing, psychological show. Black Bird is an upcoming American crime drama limited series developed by Dennis Lehane, based on the 2010 autobiographical novel In With The Devil: A Fallen Hero, A Serial Killer, and A Dangerous Bargain for Redemption by James Keene.
Black Bird is going to air for the first time on the 8th of July, 2022. Black Bird Season 2 as well as the first season, follows the story of Jimmy Keene. Jimmy Keene is given a sentence of 10 years in a minimum-security prison. But he is given an offer. He is offered to move to a maximum-security prison and befriend a serial killer named Larry Hall in order to get a confession out of him.
The creators of this horrifying yet beautiful in criminal way show are Apple Productions and EDEN Productions. They have just released the trailer yet and you can find it just by searching “Black Bird Trailer”. But the fact that you are here means that you have seen the trailer and that has made you wonder whether we are going to see season two of the show.
Black Bird Season 2 Plot
Black Bird Season 2 is definitely going to follow the story continued from the first season. However, we have no spoilers or any idea about where Apple productions are going to end the first one. To be very specific, Black Bird season 1 is going to have a total of six episodes in the show. We will see the introduction and the trope and there are some things that we can make out of the trailer of the show.
Jimmy Keene officially denies the offer to go to that psychotic prison because he does not want to risk it. He thinks this is utter nonsense and he would not risk his life and probably so much more than i.e. his sanity for any amount of money DA might offer. But they offer him one thing that he could not deny, they offer him freedom. He would be freed without any community service or anything if he is able to get that confession out of Larry.
This is where things start to go south. Jimmy accepts the offer in the hope of getting that freedom. Once he sets foot into the new prison he realizes what he has done. He has to tread lightly because if Larry finds out that he was sent. Kiss the freedom or parole goodbye but, he might even lose his life because as it finds out Larry is a vicious serial killer. Wherever the story ends Black Bird Season 2 will pick that up from right there.
Black Bird Season 2 Cast
There are no official updates regarding the new cast that we might get to see in the second season. But we are sure that most of the season 1 cast might come back. Except that we will not get to see some of the original cast in Black Bird Season 2 because they might be killed in the first one. Black Bird Season 2 Release Date
The question everyone wants an answer to, but sadly nobody has the answer. We need to be honest here, there is not even a confirmation if a second season is going to be made. It depends on how the first season does. However, with the kind of love the first season is receiving, we may get to see the second season after all. The creators have given no shred of information regarding Black Bird Season 2.
We can however predict the release date for the second season. See, the first season is going to air periodically starting from 8th July 2022. The creators are going to release 2 episodes on that day and then one episode per week till 5 August 2022. So realistically we need to focus on so many factors before we see a second season. The show will need at the very least, one year to reproduce the series, the casting, the writing, the shooting everything will take ample time.
If we go by a realistic approach, the best time for us to see Black Bird Season 2 is the Winter of 2023 earliest. We might get to see it if it is pushed latest by the summer of 2024.
Black Bird Season 1 Recap
Black Bird Season 1 is going to be released on 8th July 2022. We know awfully little about the show just yet. But here’s an idea about what you’re going to witness when you stream this show.
Jimmy Keene is offered freedom from his 10 years in prison if he is able to get a confession from Larry Hall about the murders he has done. But here is the twist. Larry is a serial killer who kills women. He has killed about 14 women according to the trailer. And only one of the bodies was found. This establishes the seriousness of the threat.
Throughout the trailer, you can see Jimmy struggle to get closer to Larry.
