Black Jesus was released for the first time on August 7 2014 on adult swim. The show was given a quick renewal as soon as 4 months following its debut season on December 10, 2014. The second season premiered on September 18, 2015, while the third season was released on September 21, 2019.

Jesus tries to enhance love, kindness, and peaceful living in this modern and busy Compton on a day-to-day basis with the help and constant assistance of his small but extremely loyal bunch of followers.
