Created by Vanessa Ramos, Blockbuster is an American workplace comedy television series. The creator Ramos is also the executive producer of the series along with John Davis, David Caspe, Randall Park, John Fox, and Jackie Clarke, and Bridger Winegar, Payman Benz, and Robert Petrovic are the producers. The show was first pitched to NBC but they were not interested to create a series. Universal Television pitched it to other networks with Netflix eventually taking the final call. Randall Park was brought in to play the lead and the streaming platform had already acquired the streaming rights for The Last Blockbuster, released in 2020.
