‘Blown Away’ first premiered on July 12, 2019, followed by the second season on January 22, 2021. Netflix then released a brief Christmas series for the show consisting of four episodes, that premiered on November 19, 2021. The third season was then released on July 22, 2022. All seasons had ten episodes, each with a running time of 24-31 minutes per episode.

No official statement has been issued yet for the fourth season, either by the show’s creators or Netflix. Aside from the fact that this product already has devoted fans across the globe, it has also proven commercially successful and has opportunities to expand internationally.

Because of that, the higher-ups behind the scenes might find themselves inclined to order a regeneration in the near future in order not to miss out on any promising aspects or future goals. If renewal does get confirmed soon and everything with respect to the pre-planning, casting, filming and post-production goes as planned, we can expect the fourth season to roll in sometime in the first quarter of 2024, which could probably be in January.

Being a reality competition series, ‘Blown Away’ features a very different and diverse group of glassblowers each season that compete for the title of Best in Blow. Therefore, if season 4 is to happen, it will feature a completely new group of contestants that haven’t participated in the show till now.

That being said, some of these cast members, notably champion John Moran, season 1 winner Deborah Cheresco, and season 2 winner Elliott Walker, may appear as guest judges. And, of course, the two most likely to return for the show are host, Nick Uhas, and judge Katherine Gray, a resident evaluator, and professor at California State University in San Bernardino.

Ten contestants compete in each episode of one competition in the show, ‘Blown Away’, and ultimately one of them is crowned the ‘king of glass’. The host Nick Uhas, makes jokes, and the evaluator, Katherine Gray offers honest, humorous critiques as they put in their best efforts. Season 3 also featured the season one winner giving motivational speeches as well as feedback, so that contestants can learn what it takes to be a successful contestant.

Participants were imaginative, ambitious, and determined to compete against each other for a prize of about $65 million. And they also get an artist residency at the Corning Museum of Glass in New York.

It is the fragile glass that creates excitement and tension in the show. When the glass pieces split or explode is when their design gets destroyed. This can take a lot of energy and endanger the positions of the contestants.

Competitors are often evaluated on their technique as well as their creativity and ideas, and the competitions themselves are high-stakes. And to top it all off, the cameras constantly filming them and the severe criticisms they receive can undoubtedly tone down their confidence and preparedness!

With the basic storyline being the same, we will get to see new contestants and the tasks they have to perform in case of a probable fourth season.
