After confronting Aoi, Fumiya looks to revert to his solitary ways in the season 1 conclusion. His sister picks up on it and scolds him for it. On their date, he admits to Fuuka that he has been working with a social skills coach to hone his interpersonal abilities. After talking with Aoi, he realizes he needs to strike a middle ground between his true self and the new person he’s become.
Eventually, he and Aoi reconcile, and she promises to keep training him while he gets to say “no” to anything he doesn’t want to do. Then, she suggests he start working part-time. After the events of Season 1, Fumiya finds a job at the same company where Takahiro works. Season 2 may see the return of Sekitomo High School students to class after the summer break. Possibly with Aoi’s guidance, Fumiya will continue developing his interpersonal and communicative abilities while maintaining his unique identity.
Narita, Fumiya’s superior at work, is introduced in the last episode. Season 2 could explore the relationship between them. It’s possible that Fumiya and Fuuka may continue their relationship. It’s possible that Aoi would assign him some chores to aid other students like Hanabi and Erika.
