Are you eager to revisit one of the most happening parks in New York? Well then get ready as ‘Central Park’ is back with its third season! Season 3 of this musical animation is finally ready and has already released its few episodes. This Emmy-nominated series which offers a mix of animation, comedy, and music, revolves around the life of a family that is caretakers of a park who must preserve it from a land developer.
This popular American musical adult animated sitcom that premiered on May 29, 2020, is created for Apple TV+ by Loren Bouchard, Nora Smith, and Josh Gad. It is developed in the same art style as Bouchard’s earlier series, Bob’s Burgers.
Besides the three creators, the other executive producers of the show are Halsted Sullivan, Jon Liebman, Marc Gurvitz, Robin Schwartz, Sanjay Shah, Janelle Momary-Neely, Steven Davis, and Kelvin Yu. Davis and Yu are also showrunners.
The show is produced by Kevin Larsen and Lindsey Stoddart, in association with Wilo Productions, Angry Child Productions, Brillstein Entertainment Partners, 20th Television (seasons 1–2), and 20th Television Animation (season 3). Starring Broadway stars and other musical stars like Hamilton, each episode includes about four original numbers sung by the cast.
Central Park Season 3 Release Date
Apple TV+ announced on its Twitter account that season 3 of ‘Central Park’ would premiere on September 9, 2022, with three episodes. There would be around 13 episodes in total, the remaining of which would air every week on Friday up until November.
The series which started on May 29, 2020, has already had two seasons released. Apple TV+ renewed the series for a third season in March 2021, even before the premiere of the second season on June 25, 2021.
Central Park Season 3 Cast
It looks like a new list of stars will join the bandwagon and lend their voices to people’s favorites. The series will be featuring the original star, Kristen Bell, who re-joins the series as a new character, called Abby. She plays Paige’s little sister. In the previous series, she had voiced Paige, played by Katherine Hahn, and Owen’s daughter, Molly.
Leslie Odom Jr voices Owen. Kristen Bell left the series in 2020, as she believed that she could not give a proper character to Molly’s mixed race and passed it down to someone who expressed the Black American with first-hand experience. Molly Emmy Raver-Lampman portrays Molly now. The others include Hahn, Odom Jr., Josh Gad, Tituss Burgess, Daveed Diggs, Raver-Lampman, and Tucci.
Some of the new guest stars include Ben Schwartz from Parks and Recreation, Sam Richardson from Werewolves Within, Ike Barinholtz from The Mindy Project, and Zoë Chao from Love Life. All these stars also star together in Apple TV + show called The Afterparty. There are more guest stars there, like Ron Funches of Loot fame, Yvette Nicole Brown from Community, Craig Robinson from Killing It, Jack McBrayer from 30 Rock, Amber Ruffin from Key & Peele, Tim Meadows from The Goldbergs, and David Alan Grier from A Black Lady Sketch Show.
Central Park Season 3 Plot
“Told through the eyes of a fourth wall-aware busker narrator, named Birdie, the musical series tells the story of the Tillerman–Hunter family who live in Edendale Castle in Central Park. Patriarch Owen (the dorky manager of the park), his wife Paige (a journalist always stuck with writing fluff pieces who hopes to write a real story), their daughter Molly (loves drawing comics about herself and a boy she has a crush on) and their son Cole (an emotional young boy who loves animals).
Their lives change when an elderly heiress and entrepreneur named Bitsy Brandenham and her frequently abused assistant Helen plot to buy up all the land in Central Park and turn it into more condominiums, shopping stores, and restaurants as a way of getting back at the world. The Tillermans must also deal with their issues and save the park.”
The adventure of Bitsy Brandenham’s unyielding efforts to achieve the park in some inevitable way will go on in season 3. With her first book deal, Paige is dawdling her writing abilities to the final test, as Owen Tillerman is assigned with devising a new advertising blitz to rekindle the public’s idea of the park. On the other hand, Moly and Cole are occupied with some bake-offs. It is not unlikely that Cole will become fixated on another animal or item that soothes him in the future.
According to the official press release by Apple TV+, “In the third season of ‘Central Park,’ as Bitsy continues her relentless pursuit to buy the park, Owen embarks on a new promotional campaign to make more people fall in love with it, and Paige finds herself busier than ever when she lands her first book deal”.

Episode 3- ‘Ice Ice Not Baby’ (September 9, 2022) Abby gets her first big advertisement audition for a local deli, while Molly and Brendan fight for the first time.
Episode 4- ‘A Triptych Down Memory Lane’ (September 16, 2022) When Elwood forgets the password he created for the Tillermans’ hard drive, the family must help him recall it or their memories will be lost forever.
Episode 5- ‘Golden Owen: Manager Damager’ (September 23, 2022) The Park Managers’ Conference is Owen’s chance to repair old friendships and get his “I Heart the Park” campaign approved.
Episode 6- ‘A Matter of Life and Boeuf’ (September 30, 2022) The Tillerman family visits Abby at her new job, where a precious item goes missing, leading everyone inside to suspect it’s a robbery.
Central Park Season 3 Trailer
The trailer for season 3 dropped on August 23, 2022, on Apple TV+’s Youtube channel. It depicts the family is hard at work in order to sustain the park. They plan to make it a common spot because more public arriving would grasp the attention of the mayor. With more characters returning, more music, and more comedy, it promises to be a fun and genuine season.
