Based on a screenplay by Sylvester Stallone, Aaron Covington, and Ryan Coogler, Creed is a 2015 American sports drama film. It is the follow-up to Rocky Balboa (2006), the seventh movie in the Rocky series, and a spin-off. Michael B. Jordan, Sylvester Stallone, Tessa Thompson, Phylicia Rashad, Tony Bellew, and Graham McTavish all appear in it. Rocky Balboa (Stallone), a former foe of Adonis Creed’s father, Apollo Creed, trains and mentors amateur boxer Adonis Creed (Jordan) in the movie.

In order to coincide with the 40th anniversary of the date of the opening scene in the first movie, Creed had its world debut on November 19, 2015, at the Regency Village Theater in Los Angeles. On November 25, the movie was theatrically distributed in the United States. Coogler directed the movie, wrote the script, and cast the actors, all of which received praise. With a global box office haul of $173 million, the movie was also a financial hit.

Part 1

Adonis “Donnie” Johnson, the adulterous son of former heavyweight champion Apollo Creed, was doing time in a juvenile prison facility in Los Angeles in 1998 when Creed’s wife, Mary Anne, visited him for a visit and offered to take him in. Donnie is in Tijuana in 2015 getting ready for his fight in an amateur boxing match that is being held in a bar.

Donnie leaves the Smith Boardley Financial Group after his most recent battle to pursue his dream of becoming a professional boxer. Donnie tries out for the prestigious Delphi Boxing Academy in Los Angeles, which is run by a family acquaintance named Tony “Little Duke” Evers Jr., who is also the son of Apollo’s trainer Tony “Duke” Evers but is rejected.

There are many similarities between the fight between Donnie and Conlan, which takes place at Goodison Park in Liverpool, where Conlan is from, and the first match between Apollo and Rocky, which took place forty years earlier. Prior to entering the ring, Mary Anne gives Donnie a new pair of American flag trunks that are like those worn by Apollo and later Rocky.
