Diggstown Season 5 Release Date, Storyline, Cast, and More

Diggstown Season 5 is going to be the latest season of the Legal Drama TV Show. The show follows the life of Marcie Diggs. Marcie is a Corporate Lawyer by profession and is very good at it. She led a good life and was making a lot of money. She was very close to her Aunt Rolanda with whom she surfed regularly. Rolanda worked in a supervisorial position at Jameson House. It was revealed that kids who used to come there were being sexually abused. Rolanda did not know of this but is still being prosecuted.

Marcie takes her to meet her friend, another corporate Lawyer Avery in hopes of clearing her name. Avery starts trying to help her but soon settles for a plea deal. A plea deal is when the client pleads guilty to the charge he/she is facing. As in they are admitting they are guilty. Marcie of course is outraged at this as this will make her aunt a social pariah. There is nothing more unsettling than when an innocent person has to admit to a crime, they didn’t commit just to avoid prison time. Without many other choices, Rolanda opts for the plea deal.

Due to the sensitivity of the crime, she confessed to she becomes an outcast in her town. She is an active member of the church. When she tries to attend the mass, the Reverend uses very harsh words to address her. Even calling her filth and asking her to never return. The next day as Marcie was making her way to surf with her aunt, she gets a voicemail from her aunt telling her goodbye. She rushes to the beach and finds out that her fears are true.

Rolanda took her own life. Marcie blames the Reverend for her death. It was after this that Marcie decided to quit her high-paying job as a Corporate Lawyer and joins Legal Aid. Legal Aid is a government service to help people who can’t afford legal counsel on their own. Marcie is honoring her aunt’s memories by helping the community and hopefully preventing what happened to her aunt from ever happening to anyone else ever again.

This current season has been a trying one for Marcie both physically and mentally. Mental Health was a main deciding factor in the season. We also see people whom she once considered her friends trying to sabotage everything she has worked for. Also, her firm, Marcie Diggs and Associates appears to be at risk due to her conflict with Vivian.

On the other side, the Clawford Family is using their influence to remove Marcie from the equation so they can return to their Shady businesses. It would be interesting to see how it all ends up in the season finale. As season 4 is going to be the last season of the show there is nothing to discuss about Diggstown Season 5.
