Dragon Age 4 Release Date, About, Characters and Much More

Dragon Age 4 is an upcoming video game based on role-playing that is still in development by BioWare which will be published by Electronic Arts.

It is the 4th main game in the Dragon Age franchise (and hopefully there’s a lot more to come).

About Dragon Age 4

A cryptic teaser has recently been released about the Dread Wolf, hinting at the multiplayer angle. There will be tons of cluing and guessing to the storyline.

The story’s main elements were in 2020.

Firstly, we’ll be able to see new people and things and places and interact with them.

Lead writer Patrick Weekes said, “for the game we’re working on now, we want to tell a story of ‘what happens when you don’t have power?’ and the people in charge aren’t willing to address the issues.”
While this information is far from clear and does not give an idea of what exactly will form the game, we do know that we will have to start a game as a pauper and probably work our way up.

No concrete details have been released yet, but Alexis Kennedy, the founder of Failbetter Games, has been involved in working the game’s writing. “If you’ve seen a lot of my work before you will probably not be surprised by the choice of subject matter. It’s familiar stuff,” said Kennedy, suggesting a focus on death and despair.

Everything we know about Dragon Age 4 is nothing but guesswork. It would be safe to bet that the game would be a sequel to Inquisition, seeing its success. The Dread Wolf Rises trailer supports that- it shows Solas so the game may follow the footsteps of Inquisition.

In a short update on the development of Dragon Age 4, the General Manager of Bioware Gary McKay fell a small but significant detail about Dragon Age 4.

“We have a veteran group of talented developers working on the next iteration of the franchise,” McKay wrote. “We are focused on a single-player experience that is built on choices that matter.”

The information also came together with other comments in which McKay emphasized how the game is developed to recreate the goodwill between the fans of the studios, and many were left behind the last starts of the study disappointed.

“When I took on the GM role, I talked about rebuilding our reputation, and that remains a huge priority,” he wrote. “We are laser-focused on building back the trust of our fans and community, and we plan to do that by delivering the types of games that we are best known for and ensuring they are of the highest quality.“

McKay went on to say he wanted future BioWare releases like Dragon Age 4 to represent “seminal moments in the industry” that evoked similar reactions to what last year’s Mass Effect Legendary Edition did.

Dragon Age 4 Release Date

BioWare said, Dragon Age 4 didn’t make an appearance at EA Play Live 2021 with a sanctioned update but a recent report from GamesBeat could offer some explanation as to why.

GamesBeat’s Jeff Grubb claims that multiple sources familiar with the design have said the game is on track for a 2023 release, though EA isn’t willing to reveal a release window just yet and has declined to note on the report.

According to the report, EA held back from furnishing a Dragon Age 4 update at EA Play Live 2021, to enable it to “ get the game into position to begin selling in humorless”, likely in 2022.

The report also corroborates Bloomberg’s report from before this time that BioWare has decided to drop plans for a Dragon Age  4 live-service model, rather concluding to make the new Dragon Age as a single-player experience, like its forerunners. GamesBeat does, still, suggest that Dragon Age 4 could have an online multiplayer element, analogous to Dragon Age Inquisition.

A 2023 release window would line up with former commentary from EA, similar to a 2019 earnings call in which the company’s principal fiscal officer Blake Jorgensen stated that Dragon Age 4 “ presumably comes after financial’22”, meaning the foremost we could see the new Dragon Age is April 2022-when the coming financial time begins.

New Character Concept Art

Another piece of Dragon Age 4 conception art was revealed.

BioWare Austin Administrative Patron, Christian Dailey, twittered the art out in March 2021 with the communication “ Happy Friday my musketeers-I hope you’re all staying out of the rain! Stay safe. Have a great weekend!!”. The image shows a voodoo standing in a rain-drenched alley, applying a staff sculpted to look like a snake.

That is all we know about Dragon Age 4 as of now!
