Screenwriter and producer Joan Rater, and producer, director, and screenwriter Tony Phelan. The series is based on convict Bode Donovan, who has a disturbing past. He has been trying to redeem himself and reduce his jail term. He then joins the California Conservation Camp Program where prisoners help the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, also called Cal Fire.
He is posted in his hometown in Northern California where he has to work with his friends alongside other inmates and elite firefighters, putting out the huge fires that have been creating problems in the area. Thieriot, Rater, and Phelan are also the executive producers of the series, along with Jerry Bruckheimer, KristieAnne Reed, and Jonathan Littman.
The makers have hired some talented stars including Max Thieriot, Jordan Calloway, Jules Latimer, Billy Burke, Kevin Alejandro, Stephanie Arcila, and Diane Farr as the lead characters of the series.
Production for the series started in July 2022 in Vancouver, Canada, and continues until December 2022. Filming in the locations of the nearby village of Fort Langley. The series debuted on October 7, 2022.
