American streaming television series Florida Man is a brand new series. The series follows Mike Valentine, an ex-cop who returns to his home in Florida and finds a Philly mobster’s runaway girlfriend. This changes to a story where family secrets are discovered followed by an attempt to correct everything. Donald Todd is the creator of the series and he also serves as an executive producer along with Miguel Arteta, Jason Bateman, and Michael Costigan.
On August 2022, it was reported that Abbey Lee, Lex Scott Davis, Clark Gregg, Sibongile Mlambo, Lauren Boglioli, Leonard Earl Howze, Mark Jeffrey Miller, Anthony LaPaglia, Otmara Marrero, Emory Cohen, Isaiah Johnson, Paul Schneider, Michael Esper, and Isabel Gameros joined the cast to play the characters of the series.
Production company Aggregate Films signed a deal with Netflix in July 2018. The deal helped to increase Bateman and Netflix’s multiple collaborations following the revival of Arrested Development and the release of Ozark. Bateman mentioned in a statement that releases by Netflix were helpful for him to not worry about the number of people watching his content. He stated that Netflix has been successful with the response being received by their shows and they are excited to bring new content.

Florida Man Release Date
Netflix had given the order to Florida Man for an eight-episode series in April 2021. It was confirmed in August that the series would be directed by four directors who would direct two episodes each. The directors are Julian Farino, Kevin Bray, Miguel Arteta, and Haifaa al-Mansour.
Filming for the series started on August 10, 2021, and the makers have planned to complete it on November 16. But for some unknown reasons they had to delay shooting for the series, and in December 2021, filming for the series started again.
Filming for the series occurred in Wilmington and Carolina Beach, North Carolina. The show was also filmed at The Pointe at Barclay. The makers included cargo containers, colorful buildings, wooden structures for the shooting, and other filming locations including Stevens Ace Hardware, Hell’s Kitchen, Quanto Basta, and more. But the release date of Florida Man has not been confirmed yet. Since filming started last year, we hope that the series can be released in late 2022 or 2023.
