The Canadian adult animated sitcom, ‘Gary and His Demons’ is back after four years for its second season. The series follows a difficult, aging demon murderer who has nothing left to lose. “Gary And His Demons is an animated comedy about a cantankerous, aging demon slayer who has nothing left to lose. Burdened by his “Chosen One” status and backed by a team of specialists he can’t relate to, Gary the demon hunter struggles to keep interested in the Earth-saving duty he never asked for and doesn’t want.” In April 2022, Amazon unveiled its plans for investing more in Canadian-produced content, and ‘Gary and His Demons’ became the first animated attempt at this effort.
The Canadian Amazon Original ‘Gary and His Demons’ is created by Mark Little, who serves as executive producer, head writer, co-director, and the voice of Gary. The other co-director of season 1 was Louis Solis The executive producers include Raja Khanna, Mark Satterthwaite, Wendy Wilis, Pia Chikiamco, Greg Franklin, Andy Fieder, and John Evershed. The show is produced by Look Mom! Productions, a Blue Ant Media production company. The show first premiered on Mondo Media’s VRV channel and later made its parallel premiere on Syfy.
Gary and His Demons Season 2 Release Date
The first season of ‘Gary and His Demons’ streamed from April 15 to August 26, 2018. It had 16 episodes of 11 minutes each.
Unfortunately, no official release date for season 2 has been revealed. On April 13, 2022, the show was announced for a renewal of season 2. The second season will release in the Fall of 2022.

Gary and His Demons Season 2 Plot
The show starts with Gary as an elderly man running behind what he believes is the last demon he has to tackle. After being unsuccessful at capturing the demon that resulted in him injuring an innocent homeless boy, Gary returns to the Demon Ministry to attend his own retirement party – his second retirement party in thirty years, since the “Chosen One” status is only meant to stay for fifteen years.
Soon after a boring retirement speech Leslie, his boss, breaks the news to him that they still haven’t been able to find a replacement for him and requests him to serve an extra term as the “Chosen One”- which would mean that he would be battling till he is 60. The show follows Gary as he adventures and hunts for demons while being frustrated over not being able to retire.
There is not much information revealed about season 2, but we assume it to pick up and develop from where the previous season stopped.
