As Netflix is stretching its wings towards international waters, a whole genre of animes is becoming a part of Netflix including ‘Godzilla: Singular Point’ which is an anime-inspired by the film series ‘Godzilla’ but it shows a different point of view than what we have observed in the movies which makes it far more exciting and fun to watch.
The first season of the series ‘Godzilla: Singular Point’ told us about a world tormented by the arrival of monsters, including a version of our favorite titan, Godzilla which can adapt and evolve rapidly. The arrival of these titanic beings seems to be triggered by the broadcast of a mysterious melody and it’s up to a group of fairly talented people to find out the mystery which resides at the center of this series and avoid what can be the apocalypse and the end of everything.
Now that the fans of Godzilla have seen the entirety of the show’s first season after it was aired as a whole series on June 24, 2021, in the United States and aired weekly in Japan in March of 2021. They are eager to know whether the show will have another season to quench the thirst of the fans of ‘Godzilla: Singular Point’
Godzilla: Singular Point Season 2 Release Date
The officials from ‘Godzilla: Singular Point’ have not yet made an official announcement regarding when ‘Godzilla: Singular Point Season 2’ will be released. Although, it won’t be wrong to say that the reaction that the series has gotten is more than what they would have expected because of the positive reaction they have gotten so the chances of there being another season are quite high.
The possibility of there being a second season is quite high considering the groundwork and base that has been set by the current story. It took the show several years to evolve from just a mere concept to actual reality and that window is most likely going to be shortened in the second season. ‘Godzilla: Singular Point Season 2’ can be released as early as late 2022 or 2023 itself. Godzilla: Singular Point Plot
Season 1
The story begins in the year 2030 when a small group of local engineers and an independent team of scientific researchers, discovered a mysterious melody being broadcasted which seems to have caused the arrival of unknown red dust all over the world, causing the law of physics being bent and broken in certain parts of the world. But, that wasn’t the worst thing because soon terrifying monsters start to wreak havoc all over the world, and with those monsters, Godzilla himself appears.
Godzilla was, by all means, a monster so terrifying that he signified the end of the world but the group of engineers, led by Yun Arikawa uses a robot called Jet Jaguar to battle the monsters and protect the citizens that got unlucky enough to be in the path of the gigantic monsters.
While the world was in disarray, an exceptional graduate student named Mei Kamino travels across the world with top scientists accompanying her to find the truth about the mystery of singular points and prevent the end of not just Earth but the universe itself.
Season 2
No official description regarding the plot has been released yet but a few fans have come up with various theories regarding what Season 2 can be. The first season does signify that Jet Jaguar is the key to stopping this catastrophe and stopping Godzilla.
The post-credit screen of Season 1 does tease us by showing the construction of MechaGodzilla so we can look forward to there being a battle between the monstrous kaiju, Godzilla, and humanity’s new weapon against the tyranny of the monsters, MechaGodzilla.
although, MechaGodzilla’s appearance can also be treated as the world preparing for a new wave of monsters and an even stronger version of Godzilla because as we know, He can evolve rapidly and adapt.
Where To Watch Godzilla: Singular Point Season 2?
There has been no such official announcement regarding where ‘Godzilla: Singular Point Season 2’ will be released but Season 1 was released on Netflix so there’s an extremely high probability of it being released on Netflix itself. Further information will be provided so stay tuned.
