Hi Score Girl is a Japanese Anime that is written and directed by Tatsuhiko Urahata and Yoshiki Yamakawa respectively. The music is given by Yoko Shimomura. Its first season was released on July 13, 2018. The show got a great response as soon as its release and fans were eagerly waiting for the second season which was then released on October 25, 2019.
The show is very popular and is loved by today’s youth. The plot revolves around the life of Haruo Yaguchi who is a gamer. Yaguchi Haruo is a pro gamer but under his identity as a famous gamer, there is a sixth-grader boy with an uneventful life.
Hi Score Girl season 1 and 2 plot
The show starts with Haruo getting humiliated at a local arcade when Akira destroys all of her challenges in Streetfighter II, Haruo misses school due to a high fever, and Akira helps him with his homework. Later Haruo allows Akira to play with his collection of PC engine games.
Haruo and Akira go on a trip to a flower park with their classmates but they prefer the amusement park next door over the flower park. Then Hidaka gets caught in a snowstorm while returning home so Haruo invites Hidaka to play street fighter II.
Hidaka is very eager to play with Haruo so she buys a copy of the final fight, at the same time Haruo heads to Kyoto for an overnight school trip. Later Hidaka asks Akira about her feelings towards Haruo and Haruo is searching for Akira in the local arcades. At the end of season 1, Hariuo finally meets his match Akira at his usual arcade.
Akira is pushed to excel for her entire life and she only cares about the arcade games. She does love arcade games but along with that, she likes Haruo too. Haruo is watching Koharu and Akira play virtual fighter 2 and Koharu keeps tainting him. Haruo flees and is abducted by a group of men while Makoto was telling him about his feelings towards Akira and Koharu.
Later Haruo visits Miyao as he realizes how much Akira means to him. Haruo gets very less amount of sleep before the tournament and he is shocked to see Akira’s results. Akira and Haruo face each other in the final round of the tournament. Even after months, Haruo hasn’t recovered and Akira’s departure has become imminent.

Hi Score Girl Season 3 release date
Season 2 had ended with a twist and had put the fans in great excitement. The makers of the show had covered all the volumes of the manga in the first two seasons and hence they decided on not to renew the show for 3rd season. It was a big disappointment for all the fans who were desperately waiting for the new season.
In 2019 a spin-off of the show was started. The story of the spin-off revolves around Koharu Hidaka. But still, the possibility of season 3 of this anime is very low as the main story has been covered already.
