How It Ends 2 Release Date
On June 22, 2018, Netflix released the first full-length trailer for the film, and the film was released on July 13, 2018. But the film was announced in 2011, and for some reason, it was delayed and released in 2018.
As of December 2022, the makers have not revealed anything about the second part of the movie and have not even confirmed whether they are coming up with a sequel or not. Just like it has always been, the cast and crew are now ready for another movie and they will move forward with all the work once an official announcement is made. Unfortunately, the makers are yet to confirm if there will be a sequel.
How It Ends 2 Storyline
The movie features the story of a pair – Will and Samantha. Will meets Sam’s parents to get their blessings and marry her. Tom gets involved in a fight with Will and Sam’s father and leaves without disclosing about the marriage or pregnancy.
Sam calls the following day, stating that she is hearing some weird noises. The line cuts off and since all the flights are canceled, Will returns to Sam’s parent’s house where they go to find Sam in Seattle. They encounter a few problems including Tom’s medical emergency. Tom understands that there is not much time left and this is followed by Tom and Will’s reconciliation with Tom blessing them for the wedding.
Things take a worse turn when Will discovers Sam and Jeremiah together, since the latter is now in love with Sam and is not willing to leave her. He even tries to attack Will, but dies after Sam kills him in self-defense. Will and Sam manage to escape, and the natural disaster, which initially looks like an unnatural disaster, remains unexplained for the entire duration.
The story will be continued from where the first movie concluded, and in case we get to see another movie, Will and Sam will become the parents of a kid and tie the knot. The sequel could also explore the reasons behind the disaster. Overall, the sequel will be a completely new take on the main plot.
Undoubtedly, the sequel will feature a lot of action, drama, mystery, sci-fi, thriller, and other elements. But the problem here is the IMDb rating, which is less than 6, making it less unlikely for the makers to bring a sequel.
