There have been various internet reports that season 3 is in the works until recently. However, there has been no official confirmation from Kyoto Animation or any other organization involved in the anime’s development that season 3 of ‘Love Chunibyo & Other Delusions’ will take place.

So, will there be a third season? When the 2018 film tied all the loose ends there were, the chances rapidly declined.

Yuta Togashi is a junior high school student who suffered from “chunibyo,” believing he held supernatural abilities and referring to himself as the “Dark Flame Master,” thereby separating himself from his peers. Yuta, embarrassed by his past, seeks to enter a high school where he knows no one, free of his former fantasies. This becomes problematic, however, when a crazy girl in his class, Rikka Takanashi, discovers Yuta’s history and develops an interest in him.

As the tale continues, Rikka grows increasingly devoted to Yuta, who embraces her despite finding her delusions frustrating and humiliating. He assists Rikka in a variety of ways, including creating and running her club and instructing her.

The “Far-East Magical Napping Society – Summer Thereof” also contains current chunibyo Sanae Dekomori, previous chunibyo Shinka Nibutani, and the always sleeping Kumin Tsuyuri.

When Yuta joins Rikka on her summer vacation, she discovers that Rikka’s father, to whom she was extremely attached, died abruptly two years before due to a fatal illness, forcing her to slip into her delusions. Yuta becomes romantically attracted to him after agreeing to assist Rikka in her hunt for the “Ethereal Horizon,” which she believes will take her to her father.
