King John and Queen Ingrith, the parents of Phillip, arrange a private dinner. After Ingrith mockingly mentions the sleeping curse that was once placed on Aurora and brings up King Stefan’s passing, Maleficent maintains her cool. She outright asserts that Maleficent murdered the two human fairy poachers who were last seen close to the Moors. Maleficent responds violently and appears to curse John as she dismisses their motherly relationship, which causes John to fall asleep abruptly.
