About Marco Polo
The series Marco Polo is based on Marco Polo’s formative days in the court of Kublai Khan, the Khagan of the Mongol Empire and the architect of the Yuan dynasty (1271–1368). On December 12, 2014, Netflix released the first episode of the programme. John Fusco devised the series, which stars Lorenzo Richelmy as the eponymous character and Benedict Wong as Kublai Khan. The Weinstein Company produced it. Netflix revived Marco Polo for a 10-episode second season on January 7, 2015, which debuted on July 1, 2016.
Netflix suffered a $200 million loss as a result of the two seasons.
Marco Polo Season 3 Release Date

As per The Hollywood Reporter, Netflix lost $200 million over the first two seasons, causing both Netflix and The Weinstein Company to discontinue the season entirely. They will not attempt a season 3 after such a string of losses in the first two seasons, can not grant the show further opportunities after struggling to impress its audience.
There really is no likelihood that this historical drama will be revived, and it is extremely improbable OTT platform or production company would want to develop this series, — particularly after the substantial financial collapse it experienced in its first two seasons of production.
Yet, in the next to impossible circumstance that the show does, in fact, make a comeback, it will be during late 2023, and if that happens, we’ll keep you updated.
