Mini Toji Season 2 Release Date, Cast, Plot, and More

Mini Toji Season 2 is one of the anime series that is searched by fans everywhere. Characters from the anime series and the mobile game Toji no Miko: Kizamishi Issen no Tomoshibi appear in the comedic anime series Mini Toji, which is based on the Toji no Miko idea. Between January and March 2019, the show was shown. Yuu Nobuta directed it, Project No.9 produced it, Aoi Akashiro composed the series, and Hiromi Ogata created the character designs. Under the title Katana Maidens: Mini Toji, Crunchyroll made the series available.

On October 26, Sakae Saito’s manga adaption debuted as a serial in Kadokawa Shoten’s Monthly Shonen Ace’s December 2017 issue.  The manga’s finale was set for March 26, 2019, according to a February 2019 announcement.

From January 12 through March 16, 2019, Mini Toji, a new anime television show featuring miniature versions of the show’s characters and the mobile game Toji no Miko: Kizamishi Issen no Tomoshibi, ran on AT-X, Tokyo MX, BS11, and MBS. Project No. 9 created the animation for the show, which was directed by Yuu Nobuta. Aoi Akashiro wrote the screenplay, while Hiromi Ogata created the character designs. Roles from the core cast were reprised. The opening song was written by Kaede Hondo and Himika Akaneya under the character names “Kono Bangumi was Ura Wakaki Kmuin-Tachi no Teiky de Okuri Itashimasu”. There were 11 episodes in the series.

Martin scored the whole anime series a B in his review. Even while many aspects of the plot fall short, it does at least end on a positive note, giving those who were dissatisfied by the beginning but determined to see it through will have something to look forward to.

The plot revolves around a gang of sword-wielding shrine maidens named Toji who go to school while honing their extermination techniques and work as a team in the police force to exorcise enigmatic, hostile beings known only as aradama. Five schools have been established around the nation for the Toji females to attend, and the government has granted them permission to wear swords and hold public office.

In between carrying out their tasks, utilizing their swords, and using their different talents to defend and fight for the populace, the girls go about their regular school lives. Five schools send their top Toji to competition in the spring to compete.

A multi-layered war between various Toji and aradama groups begins to grow when the tournament unexpectedly comes to an end early in the series. Meanwhile, its enigmatic origins, which date back to the closing stages of World War II, are slowly revealed.

Mini Toji was a lighthearted and amusing look at their daily lives, in contrast to Toji no Miko, which was packed with action and suspense. Mini Toji’s upcoming season will likewise be “not much linked” to Toji no Miko’s Mini Toji Season 2, although new characters may be introduced that will bring the humor back.

Did you know that Mini Toji is a mobile game? No, let me give details about it.

2018 saw the announcement and release of a mobile game by Square Enix called Katana Maidens Toji No Miko: Kizamishi Issen no Tomoshibi for iOS and Android gadgets. Yoshinori Shizuma’s character designs were utilized in the game, and the actors repeated their roles. On October 20, 2021, the gaming server was deactivated.

Will There Be Mini Toji Season 2?

The chibi series depends only on its parent series for its continuation and production. The same thing occurred in the case of other well-known chibi series, such as Specials of the Shakugan no Shana series and Isekai Quartet, which is based on a spin-off of many characters from several Isekai series. Because their parent series was renewed, all of these were allowed to receive additional episodes. Therefore, Toji no Miko, the sequel to the original series, must be seen before Mini Toji Season 2.

Since the Chibi series is mostly a pun and parody like a comedy of the previous series, there is no problem with the writing or source. Therefore, there is a significant likelihood that Toji no Miko season 2 will bring the show back.

Mini Toji Season 2 Release date

Mini Toji Season 2 Release date

Mini Toji season 2 must rely on Toji no Miko season 2 as was already indicated. Both television and the internet often feature the series. A few OVA episodes were made available last year. However, there is currently no official word on the anime’s future, either in terms of cancellation or renewal. However, there were some rumors that the upcoming season would not be produced by Genco, but rather by Project NO 9.

The studio has its hands busy with the two new projects they have announced for the year. With this hectic timetable, I sincerely doubt that the project will be finished this year. Therefore, the viewers must have to wait over a year for the Mini Toji Season 2. The anime, if I were to estimate, would likely debut around the latter half of 2023. Stay tuned for updates on the release date as soon as we receive them.

Crunchyroll has a license for Mini Toji, and its original networks are AT-X, Tokyo MX, BS11, and MBS. If nothing unusual happens, Mini Toji Season 2 should go just as the first did. Mini Toji Season 1 is already accessible on Crunchyroll.
