The Korean Heist drama is directed by Kim Hong-sun and is written by Ryu Yong-jae, Kim Hwan-Chae, and Choe Sung-jun. It stars Yoo Ji-Tae, Park Hae-soo, Jeon Jong-Seo, Lee Won-jong, and Park Myung-hoon in the lead roles.

The first season of ‘Money Heist Korea’ is airing on Netflix on June 24, 2022. The South Korean series has a total of 12 episodes with a running time of one hour each. As we all know, the Korean Money Heist is the remake of the Spanish series ‘La casa da papel’ released on Netflix on May 2, 2017. It has three seasons in five parts with a total of 41 episodes each, with a running time of around an hour each.
The Spanish series was directed by Alex Rodrigo, Fernando Cayo, Jesus Colmenar, and Miquel Garcia Borda. The story centers on a professor who recruits eight people to carry out a plan that includes entering the Royal Mint of Spain and stealing 2400 million. To carry out the plan, they keep 67 public as hostages and take 11 days to print the money they are going to escape with. By the end of the first heist, we get to know that the intelligent professor is already planning a heist to escape with gold from the Bank of Spain.
The Korean series is a remake of the Spanish series, we can expect the storyline and theme to be the same. Soon after the release of Season 1 of the series, we can expect Season 2 anytime. Though the creators haven’t made any official announcement regarding Season 2 of the series, we can confidently wait for it.
