Money Heist is a crime thriller series that is actually one of Netflix’s most successful non-English series. The fourth season broke all previous records by attracting over 60 million households, breaking all previous records. In comparison to previous seasons, season four of The Heist was packed with suspense, action, and more bloodshed.

Fans were devastated to learn that the award-winning show, which had amassed such a large following and fan base around the world, was ending with its final season. Season four finished on a cliff-hanger, ensuring that season five would be held to a high degree.

The largest heist in history is being planned by a mysterious man known only as The Professor. To carry out this scheme, he enlists the help of eight of the country’s most dangerous criminals: Tokyo, a seasoned thief, Berlin, the ringleader, Moscow, the drilling specialist, Rio, the computer scientist, Nairobi, the counterfeiter, Denver, Moscow’s uncle, and Helsinki and Oslo, Balkan war veterans.

The aim is to get into Spain’s Royal Mint and print €2.4 billion in less than 11 days without spilling a drop of blood. The gang kidnaps 67 people, including the British Ambassador’s daughter. They still manage to keep one step ahead of the cops with the mastermind working on the outside.

Money Heist Season Five Plot and Expectations 

Speaking of what the whole crew, creator, and directors are trying and hoping to achieve, one of the three directors stated that he is planning to close the series as expected by the fans, keeping in mind the fan’s dreams and imagination. One of the biggest and main reasons for this series to come to an end is the stars of the show who are in high demand and keeping all the big casts tied in a show becomes difficult.

It has also been confirmed that season five will be running two episodes longer than the previous ones with a total of 10 episodes to wrap up the series. There are several tangled threads at the end of season four that season five would be exploring more. We for sure know that season five is going to be the most interesting season of all.

Towards the end of season four, we see that now the professor is the one who has been caught red-handed with a gun pointed towards him, and the gang continuous to melt the gold and change it into small balls for extraction, as fast as they can. The professor is forced to think harder to come up with a better plan to rescue all of them. The season comes to an end with a new recitation of ‘Bella Ciao.’ 

The inspector, Alicia, singing “Bella Ciao” at the end of season four will add a twist to the whole storyline and story in season five. We’ve just heard the characters who are with Berlin perform this song in the previous series. This implies that Alicia will be joining the gang in Season 5. Alicia may also be the wife of Berlin from the season four flashbacks, according to some fan theories and rumors.

Money Heist Season Five Release Date

Season 5 production was influenced by the global pandemic and the coming challenges from Covid-19, in March 2020 Netflix stopped producing all its original production for two weeks. The shooting started again in August 2020 and was to be wrapped up in January 2021 and is scheduled for post-production.

Today 24th May 2021 Netflix has Announced the release date of Money heist Part 5. The first volume of Money Heist part 5 will be released on 3rd September 2021 and the second volume will be released on 3rd December 2021.
