My Little Monster is a Japanese manga written and illustrated by Robico about the relationship between a girl named Shizuku Mizutani and a boy named Haru Yoshida. It was serialized in Kodansha’s Dessert magazine from August 23, 2008, to June 24, 2013.
To understand the plot, the genre of My Little Monster is Comedy and Romance. You find an emotionally volatile boy and make him a friend. There are bound to be giggles all over the place.
Shizuku Mizutani is apathetic toward her classmates, only caring about her grades. However, her cold view of life changes when she meets Haru Yoshida, a violent troublemaker who stopped attending class after getting into a fight early in the school year. Much to Shizuku’s surprise, he proclaims that she will be his friend and immediately confesses his feelings toward her upon meeting her.

But slowly, their friendship begins to progress, and she discovers that there is more to Haru than violence. She begins to develop feelings for him but is unsure what kind of emotions she is experiencing. Together, Shizuku and Haru explore the true nature of their relationship and emotions. My Little Monster Season 2 Release Date
Bad news for all the people waiting for My Little Monster Season 2, the creators of the show have confirmed or renewed the show for the first season. This may mean that season 1 is the end of the iconic show that we all love. The show is an action and a drama; we can not forget this show while counting hit fantasy shows. But we can assume that the show will not see the screens.
This is because the Manga story ended in My Little Monster’s first season. So the worst news is that there will be no My Little Monster Season 2.
My Little Monster Story Recap
The story starts with Shizuku being tasked with delivering the class printouts to Haru Yoshida’s home. Haru sees this as something only a friend will do and declares they are both friends. When Shizuku asks Haru’s friends to be honest with him if they are his true friends, and they say they use him, Shizuku ends up defending Haru. He then confesses to loving her. Shizuku is seen as worried about her studies but eventually gets first in the class. In the end, Haru casually kisses Shizuku, leaving her red-faced.
As it progresses, their friendship becomes better. Later, Still on the rooftop, Shizuku comes to her senses and says that she didn’t have feelings for Haru, who claims he is happy with that. Haru, Asako, and Sasayan get permission from the school to keep the rooster in school after Sasayan’s pet cat make it impossible for him to take care of the rooster at home. The three of them, including Shizuku, decide to build a chicken coop with help from Haru’s punk friends. Afterward, Haru and Shizuku walk home together. Haru expresses that only good things have happened to him ever since he met Shizuku.
The story continues as Shizuku realizes that the more she spends thinking about things about Haru, the more her grades suffer, to the extent where she places 29th in the mock exams. At the same time, Oshima struggles with her feelings for Haru and her troubles of being an introvert. Haru encounters Oshima at lunch, where they talk about her not having any friends; therefore, the group meets at the library to plan strategies for being more sociable. Haru and Shizuku then have a fight, resulting in Shizuku ignoring him for a while. The story is so cute.
I will not spoil the whole story by telling you how it ends. The finale is titled Spring Is Near. It is worth a watch for sure. Too bad we will not see My Little Monster Season 2.
