The second season of Myriad Colors Phantom World is highly anticipated by fans, despite it likely being less well-known than other anime produced by Kyoto Animation. It is a fantasy anime series that goes by the Japanese name Musaigen no Phantom World and is based on the same-named light book. Shirabi and Soichirou Hatano both contributed illustrations to the light book.
On December 20, 2013, Soichirou Hatano released the first volume of the series through the novel brand of Kyoto Animation, KA Esumo Bunko. They then published two additional volumes.

One season of Myriad Colors Phantom World has already been released, and it was a masterpiece that dominated anime discussion for some time after it came out. Between January 7 and March 31, 2016, an anime TV series ran on ABC Asahi, Tokyo MX, TV Aichi, and BS11.
There are three volumes in the entire series. The good news is that just the first volume of the light novel was adapted by Kyoto Animation. The bad news is that the plot changes starting with the second book- w e won’t get into specifics regarding the changes, but to put it briefly: it goes from having a happy-go-lucky vibe to having a dark and tense tale.
Following the attack in 2019, Kyoto Animation is currently recuperating and doesn’t make a lot of anime television shows. The studio has just one anime series this year: Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid.

Haruhiko Ichijo (一条 晴彦, Ichijō Haruhiko) voiced by Hiro Shimono, Omi Minami; Micah Solusod, Apphia Yu- The main character is a freshman in high school. His unique skill is known as The Book of Thoth, and it entails calling or sealing Phantoms by sketching them in a notebook. He has a wealth of information about many various areas thanks to the library in his home, but his colleagues sometimes disregard his expertise as being pointless.
Mai Kawakami (川神 舞, Kawakami Mai) voiced by Sumire Uesaka; Amber Lee Connors- Senior and first partner of Haruhiko, a second-year high school student. She excels in close quarters combat. Spirit of the Five Elements is her specific talent, and it allows her to channel the power of many elements through her body, including fire from her heart, earth from her spleen, metal from her lungs, water from her kidneys, and wood from her armpit.
Reina Izumi (和泉 玲奈, Izumi Reina) voiced by: Saori Hayami; Natalie Hoover- a fresh face on Haruhiko’s team and a freshman in high school. Phantom Eater is the name of her unique talent, which enables her to seal Phantoms by swallowing them. She has also had rudimentary self-defense training, as seen by the way that she attacks Haruhiko when he touches her.
Koito Minase (水無瀬 小糸, Minase Koito) is voiced by Maaya Uchida; Jeannie Tirado- a brand-new transfer student who never takes off her headphones. She has a unique voice strike that is extremely potent and may seal or stun Phantoms. While a Phantom attacked the bunnies she was tasked with taking care of in the playground when she was in primary school, this first became apparent. She used her particular power to lock the Phantom, but in the process, she severely devastated a major chunk of the school.
Ruru (ルル) voiced by Azusa Tadokoro; Jad Saxton- A helpful Phantom in the shape of a little fairy. She likes making fun of Haruhiko and the other characters and constantly follows him. This individual is unique to the anime. Her name is actually Rururaruri. Rurararirararururirirari Rirararururararururararirari.
Kurumi Kumamakura (熊枕 久瑠美, Kumamakura Kurumi) voiced by Misaki Kuno; Tia Ballard- She is a bashful fourth-grader from Hosea Academy’s elementary school division who looks up to Haruhiko’s gang; she is an anime original character. She has very deep affection for bears and usually carries Albrecht, a teddy bear.
Shosuke Morohashi (諸橋 翔介, Morohashi Shōsuke) is voiced by Daisuke Sakaguchi; Dallas Reid- Haruhiko’s classmate and buddy, who frequently envies him because all of his teammates are attractive women.
Arisu Himeno (姫野 アリス, Himeno Arisu) voiced by Kikuko Inoue; Carli Mosier- The instructor of Haruhiko, who is in charge of giving pupils with special abilities tasks to complete in exchange for rewards in order to deal with bothersome Phantoms.
Myriad Colors Phantom World Season 2 Plot
In the near future, an experimental virus that was accidentally released leads to an epidemic that alters everyone’s brain chemistry and makes it possible for people to sense “Phantoms,” extraterrestrial entities from other dimensions.
Additionally, certain youngsters who were born during the epidemic have acquired unique abilities that enable them to combat and seal Phantoms. Many of these talented kids are put in clubs, schools, and organizations that deal with Phantoms that prove to be annoyances or threats to mankind, despite the fact that the great majority of Phantoms are benign.
