Never Have I Ever Season 4 Release Date, Cast, Story, and More

Fans are already looking forward to the upcoming fourth and final season after the blockbuster release of Never Have I Ever season 3 in August 2022. But when can we expect the fourth season of Never Have I Ever to premiere on Netflix and reveal Devi’s fate?

Unfortunately, the final season will not be available on Netflix until September 2022, but we weren’t expecting the teen rom-com to return so soon — even though filming for season 4 has already begun. We’ll have to wait and see what happens to Devi and her friends next.

Devi and Paxton make their “Daxton” debut as an official couple at school in Never Have I Ever season 3, but they don’t last long due to Devi’s insecurities about their relationship and the reaction of their peers. However, some interesting developments for Team Ben occur.

The fourth and final season will undoubtedly pick up after the “free boink” heard around Sherman Oaks (you know it won’t be kept a secret for long) and bring Devi’s story to a close as she enters her senior year. When will Season 4 be available on Netflix?

Never Have I Ever has released one season per year on Netflix since its premiere in April 2020. Season 2 premiered in July 2021, followed by Season 3 in August 2022. Based on this, we can confidently predict that the final season will premiere in 2023.

Netflix has confirmed that Never Have I Ever season 4 will be released in 2023, but because the season is still in post-production as of season 3’s release, it’s unclear when the final episodes will be released. However, another summer (or possibly spring) release date is possible.

Never Have I Ever Season 4 Story

Never Have I Ever Season 4 Story

Devi is irritated because she is caught between being too Indian and not being Indian enough. She also struggles with deciding how much Indian she wants to be. For teenagers, the pressure and desire to stand out intensifies. It makes them want to abandon their roots and focus on what makes them unique. Devi, too, is drawn to the part that does not make her ashamed of her Indian heritage. Speaking with someone who has been through this thought process and back makes her question her position as well.

While Devi may be reluctant to accept her Indian heritage, the show embraces it in this episode. Every scene screams Indian, which makes it even more entertaining. Every corner has something that makes you nod your head, acknowledging the familiarity of the situation. Devi warns Devi, Kamala, and Nalini not to look at the aunties as they enter the premises. Kamala’s question about where not to look is hilarious. The aunties are a piece of work in and of themselves. Their prayers, which are more acerbic than sympathetic, and their well-wishes, which are more pointed than hopeful, are things that every Indian-American will understand, whether they celebrate Ramadan or Ganesh Puja.

The sheer number of shoes outside the establishment, as well as Nalini telling her daughter not to waste her prayers on something as illogical as world peace, are examples of the show’s attention to detail. The aunties’ remark about Nalini coloring her hair after her husband’s death is also not an alien critique. The pandit-ji, who eerily states that Kamala does not want to marry, despite the fact that he does not even know her, is not foreign either.

We learned in the first episode that Kamala’s parents had found someone for her. She’s never met him, but she should marry him because that’s the way things are. Not only does she not want to marry a man she has never met, but she is also in love with someone else, whom her family will not readily accept. She abandons her love but then decides to persevere. Even after that, she wonders if she can persuade her parents to support Steve. She gets her answer from a woman who made a different decision and later regretted it.
