Sonic Prime Season 2 is one of the best and audience loved imitation of Sonic ever. Sonic Prime is an animated television series adapted from the Sonic the Hedgehog video game series, co-produced by Sega of America, Man of Action, WildBrain Studios, and Netflix Animation. It is executive produced by Man of Action Entertainment, the creative team behind Ben 10 and Big Hero 6.

Recently Netflix made an announcement that Sonic Prime will be coming back to its awaiting audiences with a second season. Sonic Prime Season 2 is expected to premier on July 13, 2023.

The adventures portrayed in Sonic Prime Season 1 will be resumed Sonic Prime season 2 onwards again. However, Netflix’s announcement on Sonic Prime’s renewal has left its fans and viewers perplexed. There is quite a lot of frenzy and commotion regarding if the upcoming season can be tagged as a separate season altogether. Most viewers believe that this is just Netflix’s way of splitting the original season into smaller parts and giving it the name of a new season just.

While there is still no stamp of clarification from the platforms most of the audience argue that Sonic Prime Season 1 has not even made a proper finishing yet even though Sonic Prime Season 2 is apparently on the cards already. It is still unknown about how many episodes there will be in Sonic Prime Season 2.

Since Sonic Prime Season 1 already received the love of its fans and viewers, all were elated and positive about the renewal news. On the contrary some loyal fans were also iffy and irascible about the fact that Netflix made a split of the storyline into two.

During a fight with his sworn enemy Dr Eggman, Sonic, the Hedgehog destroys the ancient extremely powerful piece of artefact, the Paradox Power. This leads to a ripple in the space time continuum isolating Sonic from all his friends and keeping him lonely and shifted to the Yoke City. The Green hills dystopian version in a parallel universe that is under the rulership of 5 Eggman variants.

The entire storyline follows Sonic’s quest and adventure to protect his and his friends home together from the attack and threats of Dr Eggman. The Green Hills civilians are all experienced heroes. Their adventurous journeys and shenanigans are followed across multiple alternate reality scenarios.

Whilst making the premier date announcement of Sonic Prime Season 2 the first look of the poster was also revealed. Characters from Sonic Prime Season 1 can be seen reprising their roles and resuming the high voltage adventures. Knuckles the Dread, Batten Rouge, Sails Tails, Black Rose, and Catfish, all of whom are pirate versions of Knuckles, Rouge, Tails, Amy Rose, and Big the Cat, respectively are featured in the poster.

A teaser for Sonic Prime Season 2 is still yet to be released probably few weeks prior to the announced release date.

Voicing the titular character of Sonic for the first time is the veteran Caribbean voice actor Deven Mack. You may be surprised that Mack is also voicing the robot pair of both Cubot and Orbot, both of whom are Dr. Eggman’s creations. Sonic in video games has previously been voiced by Ryan Drummond, Jason Griffith, and, most recently, Roger Craig Smith.

In the Paramount Pictures live-action movies, Sonic is voiced by Ben Schwartz.

Where to Watch Sonic Prime Season 2?

Sonic the Hedgehog was first seen in 1991 on the SEGA Genesis. Since then, the character was inducted into the “World Video Game Hall of Fame” in 2016 at The Strong National Museum of Play in Rochester, New York. The video game was also adapted into two live-action movies starring Ben Schwartz and James Marsden.

All the episodes of Sonic Prime Season 1 are right now available on Netflix to stream. It is expected that Sonic Prime Season 2 will be releasing on the same platform as well.
