The opening scene of the show portrays a small boat anchored offshore. A young man with a spear stands underwater without any breathing assistance in spite of a mask. The young man is Kraam who attends the prestigious high school situated on the island and is one of the few residents of that island as well. It was the last day of school and he has plans to continue his further studies in Bangkok. His buddy, Joey made some arrangements through his contacts and arranged a type of farewell party for a bunch of their classmates so that they can stay and watch the lunar eclipse.

Kraam has a conversation with his father, wherein he receives an ancient dagger to him which is actually passed on to him from his “real father”. Kraam misses out on hearing the voicemail left behind for him revealing who he really is since a massive tsunami suddenly hits the island.

Kraam’s father dies but with the time-jump of 25 days into the future we find out that Kraam has survived along with 35 of his classmates. Anan has taken up the role of the leader of this bunch and keeps collecting everyone’s phone in order to search for signal. Arisa, the technological brain of the group tries genuinely but they haven’t been able to catch any signal yet and are trapped. Joey urges everyone to let their leader take some more time in order to figure a way out of their situation.

Meanwhile, May, has been acting as the nurse and tending to people’s injuries and looking after any sort of ailments from the knowledge she has gained from her father about medicine. When one of the teens’ injuries gets infected, she looks for someone to get antibiotics. Joey and Kraam set out to find the headmaster’s house, which is intact.

While looking, Joey plays a game with Kraam and discovers he has feelings for May. Joey then spots a boat trapped on a cliff and as they climb the cliff to look, Joey falls to the ground. Kraam rushes him to May but his condition was critical since his lungs collapsed and May was way over her head to bring him back. Hence, Joey doesn’t make it.

Kraam suggests taking the boat down but Anan does not support him and rejects the idea thinking that it will be too risky. But he later betrays Kraam as during Joey’s funeral when Kraam tells everyone there are no hopes for their rescue, Anan steals his idea and suggests the same to everyone. He preaches everyone that they have no option now but take matters into their own hands and get off the island.

Stranded Season 2 Release Date and Updates

The second season of The Stranded has been anticipated for quite a while for the audience but no confirmed stance can be taken for it since there has been no confirmation from official sources regarding the show’s renewal. The start date for the season has not been announced officially.

Even though there has been no official announcement of the forthcoming The Stranded Season, we can expect virtually every character to return if the season 2 debut date is set to take place as planned. In addition, we may anticipate some well-known names first.

In addition to the bulk of the characters returning, we may see several new recurrent and side characters in the upcoming Season.

What can Stranded Season 2 Reveal?

There are a bunch of unanswered questions that season 2 has to deal with first. First and foremost, what is happening in this new world, and can Kraam indeed return, or is he trapped here? Also what is Anan going to do further and how the group would execute and continue to work under his leadership?

We also need to know about the whereabouts of Arisa, Nahm, Ice, and Ying. Where did they flee to? Will they return? What will happen to May now that she has been imprisoned by a malicious boy? What is the story of Kraam’s real parents? What is the dagger’s mystery which has been handed down to Kraam?

All these questions can only be answered by another season.

Stranded Season 2 Reception

The show started off well but most viewers found the finale a bit of a letdown and believed the show had greater potential to be something mind-blowing if it did not deviate from the typical teen character drama storylines with each episode.

The show mostly has been rated and reviewed as average by most. It has an IMDb rating of a decent 6.3/10, and Rotten Tomatoes gives it a 73 percent average grade. It has a 7.9/10 rating on MyDramaList.
