The strike is a British crime drama which is based on the Cormoran Strike novel. It is a detective novel by J. K Rowling under the pen name Robert Galbraith. The series directors are Susan Tully, Charles Sturridge, Kieron Hawkes, and Michael Keillor.
The executive producers of the series include Neil Blair, Tom Edge, Elizabeth Kilgarriff, Tommy Bulfin, and J. K Rowling, and Ben Richards. Bronte Film and Television are the respective production companies for the series.
The series has released 4 seasons now with 11 episodes so far. The 1st season premiered on 17 Aug 2017 and on 3rd Sept 2017. The 2nd season aired from September 10, 2017, to September 17, 2017. While the 3rd season was released in 2918 and the 4th one in 2020.
Each season of the series to this date follows the event from the Strike Novel. From Cuckoo’s Calling (2013), The Silkworm (2014), Career of Evil (2015), and Lethal White (2018).
The fifth series, with the title “True Blooded” (2020) is in the process for production of a new season.
The series received a positive response overall from fans and critics. The Cuckoo’s calling got an IMDb rating of 6.1/10. However, the 2nd season gets some criticism due to its suicide season. The scene was shown in the first episode and on Suicide Prevention Day. The career of Evil holds the average rating of 6.1/10 and Lethal white held the record of 5.6/10.
Strike Season 5 Release Date
There is no official statement about the release date by the showrunners. It is expected that the show might be premiering in late 2022 or early 2023. However, the time is near for the release.
Given that J. K Rowling released the fifth book in the series under the name “Troubled Blood” in 2020. It is expected that production for season 5 must have begun.
It might be too early to expect the trailer of the series now when we don’t even have an idea about the release date. The trailer, perhaps, will be released around the week before the season’s release.
As far as episodes are concerned, season 5 might have more or less the same number of episodes as the last ones.
