There is not a specific release date of the season announced by the series makers. We anticipate that the season will release somewhere in late 2022 or early 2023. HBO released a brief teaser mentioning the arrival of season 4. However, there is no proper trailer being released yet.
Production for Season 4 Succession has started just now. The actors shared the news on social media on June 27, 2022, that shooting for season 4 had begun.
All the last seasons consist of 10 episodes, with season 3 only be having 9 episodes. Season 4 will most likely have 10 episodes, as has been confirmed by HBO max.
Succession Season 4 Storyline
Succession follows the story of the owner of the billion-dollar business Waystar RoyCo. Logan Roy, the head of the family, after suffering from a serious illness decided to quit his position and decide the new heir.
In the 1st season, it is shown that all the kids try hard to be the boss of the company. Kendall the power-hungry tried several attempts to be in the position. However, he got failed due to his dark scandals.
In the 2nd season, we see Kendall being extremely opposite to his father. He acted as a whistleblower and did public stunts to defame his father. While during 3rd season Kendall does lots of campaigns but miserably fails because he doesn’t follow the right steps given by his PR team.
The third season ended when Logan Roy decided to sell his company. And then for the first time, all the siblings get together to own the position they deserve in business. And stop the sale of Waystar RoyCo.
The sequel to the series season 4, will continue from where the last season ended. It might be the last season in the series. However, it’s not confirmed. So, it might give us all the answers we desperately want.
As the season 4 synopsis says;
“The sale of media conglomerate Waystar Royco to tech visionary Lukas Matsson moves ever closer. The prospect of this seismic sale provokes existential angst and familial division among the Roys as they anticipate what their lives will look like once the deal is completed. A power struggle ensues as the family weighs up a future where their cultural and political weight is severely curtailed.”
It is speculated that in season 4 the couple Shiv and Tom will going to have a troublesome marriage. We don’t even know if they will remain in the marriage or not after Tom played a double game with Shiv and her brothers. After he joined hands with Logan.
Besides, after Logan and Tom team up, the war will be going to be far more exciting than before. Plus, we definitely see the worst emotional breakdown of Kendall in the last season. What’s going to happen with Kendall?
Last but not least, we see Connor and Willa’s engagement in the last season. So maybe there will be a wedding in the next season.

- Nicholas Braun plays Greg Hirsch, the bubbly and sweet yet sly grandson of Evan, Logan’s Brother.
- Matthew Macfadyen plays Tom Wambsgans, an executive at Waystar and Shiv’s husband.
- Rob Yang plays Lawrence Yee, the owner of the website Vaulter which is owned by Waystar RoyCo.
- Dagmara Domińczyk plays as Karolina Novotney the supervisor of PR team for Waystar RoyCo
- Arian Moayed plays Stewy Hosseini, the childhood friend of Kendall who is now a major shareholder on Waystar’s board.
- J. Smith-Cameron plays Gerri Kellman, in the position of general counsel at Waystar RoyCo.
- Justine Lupe plays Willa Ferreyra, Connor Roy’s girlfriend.
- David Rasche plays Karl Muller, Waystar RoyCo’s Chief Finance Head.
- Fisher Stevens plays Hugo Baker, a senior executive in charge of Brightstar cruise lines.
There is no official statement about the new characters in the season. They will only be revealed once the season is out.
Where you can watch Succession Season 4?
