The first season, which focused on the rise of Uber, was based on technology journalist Mike Isaac’s book “Super Pumped: The Battle for Uber.” Based on Isaac’s upcoming book about Facebook’s transformation from a start-up to a social media powerhouse, the second season will explore Facebook’s transition from a start-up to a powerhouse.
The show, “Super Pumped”, is created by writers Brian Koppelman, David Levien, and Beth Shacter, the team behind the network’s hit series Billions. All three also serve as executive producers and co-showrunners on the show. The executive producers include Paul Schiff, Stephen Schiff, and Allyce Ozarski, and are produced by Showtime.
The series falls under Koppelman and Levien’s overall deal with Showtime. It must be one of the most challenging tasks to come up with a series name since it influences fans’ decisions to binge on the series and also serves as the logo. When giving the title ‘Super Pumped’ to the show, Koppelman said that he got the motivation from one of Isaac’s books titled be strong, and from then, the idea enticed him.
Super Pumped Season 2 Release Date
The first season of Super Pumped began on February 27, 2022, weekly up until April 10, 2022. The sitcom was renewed for a second season even before the launch of its first season and was said to be related to Mike Isaac’s upcoming book on Facebook. There is no release date announced for season 2 yet.

The first season, which was named “Super Pumped: The Battle For Uber,” was based on Isaac’s 2019 book by the same name and told the story of a ride-sharing company that became “one of Silicon Valley’s most successful and most destructive unicorns”.
That season starred Joseph Gordon-Levitt as the former Uber CEO, Travis Kalanick (who was ultimately kicked out of the company); Uma Thurman as The Huffington Post co-founder and previously Uber board member Arianna Huffington; and Kyle Chandler as dealmaker Bill Gurley. The cast also included Elisabeth Shue, Kerry Bishé, Jon Bass, Bridget Gao Hollitt, and Babak Tafti.
In the second season, we will be learning about Isaac’s upcoming book about Facebook’s sudden rise from a start-up to an online media phenomenon. Facebook has presently turned into the issue of precariously admired television series and films, containing the 2010 film The Social Network.
