The series stars Gillian Anderson, Fagbenle, Dakota Fanning, Viola Davis, Michelle Pfeiffer, O. T. Lily Rabe, Regina Taylor, Kiefer Sutherland, and Aaron Eckhart in the lead roles. The story mainly focuses on the life and family matters of the three First Ladies of the United States: Eleanor Roosevelt, Betty Ford, and Michelle Obama.
The First Lady Season 2 Release Date
The first season of ‘The First Lady’ was released on Showtime on April 17, 2022. It has a total of eight episodes with a running time of about 55 minutes each. The first season was recently released and it got an amazing response from the audience. The audience is thrilled by the way the three strong ladies are portrayed in the series.
The strong characters are really inspiring to all the women out there. Now that Season one has already been released, the next obvious question will be ‘Will there be a season 2 for the series?’ Well, I guess the creators themselves are confused with that question. But they haven’t left us like that. They have actually given us hints regarding Season 2.
The showrunner Cathy Schulman, along with the director and producer Susanne Bier had given an interesting response to a reporter at a virtual panel of television CriticsAssosiation. Susanne says that there is a chance for more fun episodes to be added to the series. One of the actors Gillian Anderson, who played the role of Eleanor Rosevelt says that there is hope that there will be future seasons, for giving opportunities to many more ladies.
It may not just be 4, but it can be 104. Well, this clearly shows that they are kind of planning for season 2. One thing we can be sure that Susanne is planning to focus on three or four ladies per season. The series is neither canceled nor renewed. Let’s just wait for them to make an official announcement.
