The Flight Attendant is an American dark comedic thriller on the life of a flight attendant when her own life takes a turn and becomes a murder mystery! The mystery thriller is based on the 2018 novel by Chris Bohjalian of the same name.
The Flight Attendant Plot
The show revolves around flight attendant, Cassie Bowden, who is a hardcore alcoholic and sleeps with strangers spending most of her time, even during flights and her hookups include the passengers as well. When she wakes up from the previous night’s hangover in Bangkok’s hotel room she is shocked to find the corpse of a passenger lying right next to her with his throat slit. She is too scared to inform the police so she just cleans the room up and then travels to the airport along with her airline crew.
When she reaches New York City, she meets Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) agents who interrogate her about the layover in Bangkok. She cannot remember anything about the night and is unable to put any instances together about that night to understand what exactly happened. She was also naturally suffering from random flashbacks, hallucinations, and recalling intermittent visuals about that night but could not recall it all together, she gets curious about who might have killed the passenger.
Season 2 takes a time jump of one year from the previous season. Cassie’s job is now of a part-time asset for the CIA, as she surveils passengers in between the flights. She has also recovered from her alcohol addiction and has been sober for a year now, shifted to Los Angeles with her new boyfriend, Marco. During one of her assignments in Berlin, her target was assassinated by a woman who pretended to be her. She is then quite freaked out by the presence of this doppelganger and tries to find out who this impersonator is while at the same time trying to battle through the hallucinations she is suffering from while her past self is trying to force her back to her old ways.
The Flight Attendant Season 3 Release Date
It took a long time to renew the show for its second season and as of now after its recent release there has been no official confirmation or declaration on the happening of the third season but fans already believe a third season most definitely will be happening.
The third season is rather dependent on the progress of the second season. If the finale of it ends with a cliffhanger then season 3 is rather confirmed.
Although no official confirmation has been made on the third season if it gets approved we could see it in 2023 at the earliest.
