The God of High School mostly revolves around the story of its 17-year-old protagonist, Mori Jin, a martial artist from Seoul. The God Of High School has sent him an invitation to take part in their tournament. This tournament is sponsored by some anonymous group which seems to be the element of suspicion and mystery from the very beginning. The tournament brings in people from different regions of South Korea and then selects three national-level representatives who will be participating in the world tournament. The winner at the end gets to have his wish fulfilled by the mysterious sponsoring company and won’t be questioned about it at all either.

As the protagonist is a participant in the tournament and continues his journey along on the way he meets many different people with their own various and unique styles of fighting and learns a lot from each of them. Throughout this tournament, he also makes friends, who are martial art prodigies themselves: Daewi and Mira Yoo. The three of them are then put into a team as the Korean representative for the world tournament taking place eventually after the preliminaries are over. The story shall continue from there.
