The release date of the show was revealed in May 2019, which was confirmed to be sometime in 2020. It was shifted to sometime between 2020 and 2021 and the release date was finalized as February 2021. Fox renewed the series for a second season on June 22, 2020, before the first season premiered and aired on September 26, 2021.
