All the stories in the Noel Collection focus on different characters and Netflix can opt to bring in a new set of cast members to play the characters in the sequel if it is confirmed and in case they are planning for a movie instead of a series. Netflix has another option of keeping Hartley, Barrett and the rest of the cast members to play new roles just like every other anthology show has done so far, including American Horror Story.
The first part ended on a cliffhanger with Jake and Rachel’s future being uncertain and so Netflix could create a whole new sequel for the story, despite that the books do not explore anything further about Jake and Rachel’s life. From this, audiences would get to understand what exactly happened with both characters.
