Before engaging in a suspenseful tricycle race with special guest John Mulaney and performing a duet with Lil Nas X, Elmo checks out some goodie bags. In the midst of the concert, Ernie gives a backstage tour during which Cookie Monster receives a special guest. After playing a game of Beach Ball Ballyhoo with Elmo until the Bat Signal appears on the curtain, Batman (Victor Joel Ortiz, uncredited) wins the match. Elmo invites the acapella group Pentatonix, who sing a variety of lullabies, in pursuit of the ideal bedtime story. John Oliver and Elmo participate in the world’s slowest and most dramatic race when Elmo discovers what animal John Oliver would be. Kwame Alexander reads improvised poetry about Elmo, and Sofia Carson sings a lullaby.

When it comes to bathroom time (also known as party time), Elmo isn’t afraid to speak up. After challenging Jason Sudeikis to a round of the “Silly Dance Game” competition, Ciara makes a guest appearance to give her motivational song “Believe In Yourself.” While playing usher, Grover stirs things up.
