The Royal Treatment Release Date, Cast, Plot and Trailer

Netflix has emerged as one of the world’s leading content creators in recent years. This has been accomplished by producing and releasing an almost endless stream of critically-acclaimed films from some of the biggest names in cinema, including Martin Scorsese, Jane Campion, Alfonso Cuarón, Zack Snyder, and others. Of course, they are also known for releasing and producing dozens of smaller scales, shamelessly schmaltzy romantic comedies that indulge in every silly trope associated with the genre.

Actors on the rise typically star in those films, as they aren’t typically allowed to star in major films. It’s safe to say there will be more of these comedies available to stream on Netflix in 2022 since dozens of them are already on the platform. Netflix will soon release yet another fanciful romantic comedy. There’s a brand-new show upcoming on the air called “The Royal Treatment” and here are all the details we know so far. There will be an English-language version of this film with a duration of one hour and 36 minutes.

Marano and Massoud may spend much of the movie falling in love with each other, as you might be wondering what that cast will do in “The Royal Treatment.” Their courtship won’t be easy, as they often are in rom-com. The obstacles here are pretty major since Isabella runs her hair salon for a living in Marano. Likewise, Prince Thomas in Massoud plans on making Lauren, as the name suggests, into a princess.

Although Thomas has no romantic feelings for his future spouse, he is determined to make her a princess. As Isabella and her co-workers start preparing for the upcoming royal wedding, sparks begin to fly between the hairdresser and prince, who is “hot”. It’s unlikely that “The Royal Treatment” will re-invent the classic “star-crossed lovers” romance formula. This is fine, as the routine has been extraordinarily effective for the genre throughout the years. “The Royal Treatment” is a romantic tale, and Laura Marano and Mena Massoud bring it to life with their talents.

Offerings such as “The Royal Treatment” are typically centered around up-and-coming talent that is experiencing their first taste of the spotlight. In “The Royal Treatment,” Laura Marano and Mena Massoud appear as two rather decent young stars. For nearly two decades, Marano has established a serious career in both film and television. As the star of the Disney Channel show “Austin & Ally,” she starred in five seasons of the hit drama. She’s also appeared in TV shows like “Without a Trace,” “Dexter,” and “Heroes.” But she is perhaps best known for her role on “Austin & Ally.”

Those familiar with the actor will surely remember his turn opposite Will Smith in Disney’s live-action “Aladdin.” “The Royal Treatment” welcomes an equally impressive list of supporting actors including Chelsie Preston Crayford, Jen Van Epps, Amanda Billing, Jacque Drew, Cameron Rhodes, and others. You may recognize Corey Gunn from his turn in Season 1 of John Krasinski’s “Jack Ryan” series, or perhaps from his work in Hulu’s regrettably overlooked 2019 crime series “Reprisal.”

As a schmaltzy rom-com that scratches more than one itch, “The Royal Treatment” is for you. Even if you’re not, this movie still provides some compelling reasons for you to consider it. In addition to Holly Hester, who is the screenwriter, Rick Jacobson, the director, has helmed hit TV shows like Xena: Warrior Princess, Spartacus, and Ash vs Evil Dead. So, you may be wondering when you will get to see what this team of professionals will cook up next, right? There is not too much time to wait, as “The Royal Treatment” will be available on Netflix on January 20, 2022. Now is the time to mark your calendars for the streaming release.

Is there a trailer for The Royal Treatment?

The Royal Treatment is a sappy romantic comedy revealed in the official trailer by Netflix. This is like countless other romcoms where the hero is a princess by marrying this guy, yet they keep making these. Been there, done that, they don’t innovate. Taking part in the wedding of a charming prince, Izzy, played by Laura Marano, takes advantage of the opportunity to work at her hair salon. But when romance ignites, will love – or duty – prevail? They learn that following their hearts is the only way they can control their destiny.

Mena Massoud (from Aladdin!) is also on the cast, along with Chelsie Preston Crayford, Grace Bentley-Tsibuah, and Cameron Rhodes. Netflix snatched up yet another cheesy Hallmark special. Prince Thomas is about to marry for duty rather than love while Isabella runs her salon and isn’t afraid to speak their minds. She and Prince Thomas learn that taking control of their destiny requires following their hearts. This is when Izzy and her colleague are given the chance of a lifetime to do the hair for a royal wedding.

Rick Jacobson, the director of several other films, including Full Contact, Dragon Fire, Lion Strike, Terminal Voyage, Night Hunter, Reasons of the Heart, Strategic Command, Black Thunder, Bad Guys, and Bitch Slap, is the mastermind behind The Royal Treatment. Holly Hester wrote the screenplay. Among those involved in its production are Ellen Marano, Vanessa Marano, Laura Marano, and Chloe Smith. It will be available to stream on January 20th, 2022, on Netflix.
