Director Jason Winer is also the executive producer of the series, alongside Jack Burditt, Rick Messina, Tim Allen, Kevin Hench, and Richard Baker. The series is based on the 1994 American Christmas comedy film The Santa Clause, which is written by Leo Benvenuti and Steve Rudnick.
The show is continued from The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause (2006) and the leads include Tim Allen, Elizabeth Mitchell, Eric Lloyd, and David Krumholtz. Jack Burditt has been brought in as the showrunner.
