Developed by Greg Berlanti, Akiva Goldsman, and Geoff Johns, Titans is an American action-adventure science fantasy superhero drama television series that is based on the DC Comics superhero team, the Teen Titans. The series focuses on a group of young heroes who unite to fight evil forces. Berlanti, Goldsman, and Johns are also the executive producers of the series, along with Greg Walker, Sarah Schechter, Richard Hatem, and John Fawcett, and the producers are Robert Ortiz, Jennifer Lence, Michael Wray, Carol Banker, Carl Ogawa, and Tom Flores.

The makers have hired some talented stars for the characters of the series that includes Brenton Thwaites, Teagan Croft, Curran Walters, Minka Kelly, Esai Morales, Joshua Orpin, Vincent Kartheiser, Jay Lycurgo, Joseph Morgan, Anna Diop, Ryan Potter, Conor Leslie Alan Ritchson, Chelsea Zhang, Savannah Welch, Damaris Lewis, and Franka Potente.

The live-action show on Teen Titans was confirmed in September 2014. It was confirmed to air on TNT, but it was canceled in 2016. Redevelopment began the next year with Goldsman, Johns, and Berlanti for DC Universe as the first original scripted program. Thwaites was brought in to play the role of Dick in September 2017 and the rest of the casting was completed by October 2017. The series aired on October 12, 2018, and run for more than 3 seasons till 2022.

Before its premiere of the first season in New York in 2018, the show was renewed for a second season and it was confirmed to premiere on September 6, 2019. Production had to be stopped in July 2019 after the death of special effects coordinator Warren Appleby, and the premiere was dedicated in his memory.

Season 3 was confirmed following the release of Season 2, and although they planned to release it in 2020, Season 3 was delayed because of the Covid-19 pandemic. DC Chief Creative Officer Jim Lee stated that Season 3 will be shifted to HBO Max. Walker then disclosed at the DC FanDome in August 2020 that Season 3 will take place in Gotham City and will feature Red Hood, Jonathan Crane, and Barbara Gordon.

The fourth season of the series was split into two parts. The first part of season 4 aired on November 3, 2022, and will be concluded on December 1. The second part is yet to be released and they have not confirmed a release date.

As of November 2022, the makers have not confirmed the renewal for the new season of Titans. So, there is no official release date for Titans Season 5.
