The finale begins with the bomb being diffused and Hamilton taking Lana as an advisor. She gets a message with the number 661142, matching the coordinates of a MOD site that stores bombs. It is also revealed that the MOB site, which holds deadly explosives, is the same type of explosives used in the previous attacks.

They end up speculating that John Huson, their colleague was the culprit. The fact that John groomed Billy to get him involved with the Crusaders and how he fled from the bombing scene after getting a mysterious call did not sit right with Lana.

The bomber uses John’s phone to send Wash numbers like 1912 and 661142. Sonya Reeves ended up decoding the numbers as she realized they could be related to the periodic table. The number 661142 stands for Operation Dynamo. Operation Dynamo was a codename that was given to the 2009 mission that took place in Afghanistan. Eight soldiers were sent to the SPecial FOrces Operations Base during that mission.

Still, on the way, they hit an IED and the explosive HMX-319, which they bought with them, exploded, destroying the nearby schools. This incident ended up the villagers being furious and killing all the soldiers. Everyone was killed except one soldier, Karl Maguire. These hints also help Wash to decode that 1912 stands for KMG, which could be interpreted as Karl Maguire.

At this point in the final episode, it is clear that Karl is the actual culprit. It is later revealed that Karl is still furious over the fact that the Ministry Of Defence covered up his incident, and he was threatened when he tried to tell him the information about it. He also tried to send a petition to the Government to release the files. Still, it was denied by Ayesha-Campell Kim, currently elected as the labor Candidate.

During the election, Hudsons was found unconscious in St.Jude Chapel. When the election results were being announced, Karl Maguire went on the stage and revealed that he was strapped with explosives and tried to kill Campbell. He also told the truth about Nic Roberts and Frank Welsh.

The SO19 took their positions to kill Karl, and Lana tried her best to talk to Karl before, but one of them ended up shooting Karl Maguire.

You can watch it on Hulu and Amazon Prime.
