Adult Swim’s universally acclaimed Tuca & Bertie is an adult animated series featuring Tiffany Haddish as Tuca and Ali Wong as Bertie. Tuca and Bertie Season 4 Release Date
Following a ten-episode order on February 20, 2018, Tuca & Bertie made its first appearance on Netflix on May 3, 2019. All ten half-hour episodes of season 1 were released on Netflix on the same day. Barely three months later, in a typical and annoying Netflix movie, the show was canceled despite receiving universal acclaim, high ratings, and a plethora of positive reviews. Fans of the show quickly took to Twitter, and #RenewTucaAndBertie, #SaveTucaAndBertie, and a Change.org petition were trending in no time.
Fortunately, on May 22, 2020, it was announced that Tuca & Bertie would be revived on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim in 2021. Season 2 premiered on June 13, 2021, and wrapped up on August 15, 2021. Tuca & Bertie was renewed for season 3 in the same month as the season 2 finale, and it premiered on July 10, 2022. Tuca & Bertie’s season 3 finale was released on August 29, 2022.
Tuca and Bertie Season 4 Plot
In an apartment complex in Bird Town, occupied by different species and personalities of birds, we have Tuca, an impetuous and dependent Toucan who relies heavily on odd jobs and financial support from her wealthy aunt Tallulah. At the other end of the birds’ personality spectrum is Bertie, an ambitious song thrush with anxiety issues, and a prim and proper architect boyfriend, a robin named Speckle. Bertie is a senior operations analyst at Conde Nest and an apprentice baker under Chef Pastry Pete, an emperor penguin. When the 30-year-old bird roomies separate, Bertie moves in with her boyfriend, and Tuca moves to the floor above them.
Tuca & Bertie is a buddy comedy show that follows the friendship of two birds, and it depicts the concept of adulting in the face of trauma, sexism, mental illness, and complicated sexual relations. The sitcom features a whimsical sense of humor and a world of abnormality that make for easy yet engaging entertainment.

Tuca and Bertie Season 4 Production
Tuca & Bertie was created by cartoonist Lisa Hanawalt, the character Tuca first appeared in her webcomics ‘Tuca the Toucan’ from 2013 to 2014. The animated series premiered on Netflix on May 3, 2019, executive-produced by Hanawalt, Tiffany Haddish, Ali Wong, Neel Bright, Steven A. Cohen, and Raphael Bob-Waksberg. Brave Dummy, The Tornante Company, Vegan Blintzes, Shadow Machine, and Williams Street produce Tuca & Bertie, and Tornante Productions in conjunction with Warner Bros. Television Production distribute it. Aaron Long is the major director of the show.

From its debut season, Tuca & Bertie received universal acclaim. The positive reviews and ratings have only gone up from there. The animated comedy series boasts an average rating of 99% on Rotten Tomatoes, 84% on Google, 85/100 on Metacritic, and 7.4/10 on IMDb.

Is Tuca & Bertie getting a season 4?
Since season 3 wrapped up on August 29, 2022, there has been no announcement of a fourth season. As of now, Tuca & Bertie has not been renewed for season 4, but there is still hope for the widely-loved adult series.
