No Matter How I Look At It, It’s You Guys’ Fault I’m Not Popular, commonly referred to as Watamote is a series serialized in a magazine named Gangan Online from August 2011 and published by Yen Express. Watamote is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by two people under Nico Tanigawa. This anime is an adaptation from Silver Link that premiered on July 8th, 2013, and ended on September 23, 2013. Along with the OVA episode aired on October 22, 2014.
Watamote Season 1 Plot
The story of Watamote revolves around the life of a 15-year-old girl named Tomoko Kuroki who believes her life will change and she will get popular after she’ll enter high school. In spite of living in her imaginary thoughts, Tomoko became unamiable and lovely. Do you think she’ll become popular once school starts? Or she will remain anti-social and lonely for the rest of her school life?
Watamote Season 2 Characters
Although Watamote Season 2 has not been released as of yet. It is expected that the characters will be the same as that in Season 1. Watamote season 1 included Tomoko Kuroki, Tomoki Kuroki (Tomoko’s little brother), Tomoko no Hahaoya (Tomoko’s mother), Tomoko no Chichioya (Tomoko’s father), Kiko Satozaki (Tomoko’s cousin), Kī-chan no Hahaoya (Kiko’s Mother) and many more.

The pilot episode (Since I’m Not Popular, I’ll Change My Image a Bit) of Season 1 of Watamote aired on 8th July 2013, and the last episode (Since I’m Not Popular, I’ll Think About the Future) of the same season aired on September 23, 2013. It’s been 8 full years since the end of Season 1 of Watamote. So as far as we know, the chances for the release of Season 2 are very few.
