Love Island features a group of contestants, Islanders. They live in a villa in Mallorca alone and under constant video surveillance. The Islanders must team up with another Islander to survive in the villa, whether out of love, friendship, or financial necessity since the winning couple will each receive £50,000.

After the pairing, anyone on the island still single is banished and expelled. Islanders may also be eliminated through public voting, as happened during the series when viewers cast their votes for their favorite couple or potential couple via the Love Island app, which is available on smartphones. The public votes for the couple they think should win the series and receive £50,000 during the final week.

In the first season, Caroline Flack hosted the live Thursday episode, which frequently featured eliminations and saw new Islanders enter the villa. The live episodes were, however, discontinued after the second series, except for the finale. Each Islander has a phone in the villa.

While there, they can only text each other or receive texts updating them on the latest challenges, dumping, or recoupling. Couples and islanders are frequently required to participate in various physical and mental challenges and games, with the winners receiving special rewards. In addition to being sent on dates away from the villa, some islanders can also win dates by succeeding in challenges.

Spain, specifically Mallorca in the Balearic Islands, served as the backdrop for “Love Island” UK. Seasons 1,2, 3, 4, 5, and 7 were all filmed in the same Mallorcan villa, so the production team decided it was time to switch to a brand-new villa within Mallorca. Mallorca, the largest island in the Balearic Islands, is a very well-liked vacation spot because it has a variety of attractions.

Spain’s Sant Llorenç des Cardassar

The older villa is located in the same municipality as Sant Llorenç des Cardassar, where it appears that the eighth season of “Love Island” was taped. According to reports, to maintain the contestants’ privacy, the villa used for the eighth installment is situated at the base of a hill, surrounded by luxuriant greenery.

The new villa that the production team used for this season looks and feels like the previous villas, but the size is unquestionably different. The house has a large bedroom, a make-up room, a lounge area, a beach hut, a bathroom, a balcony, an outdoor kitchen, a pool, and a fire pit. It is reportedly worth more than £2.5 million.

Mike Spencer, the executive producer, had a lot to say about the new villa and some new designs. He mentioned that it has the largest bedroom the series has ever had and that the bed is positioned similarly to earlier episodes. According to Mike, this arrangement guarantees more entertaining banter between the show’s cast members.

You can watch it on Disney+Hotstar and Netflix.
