Yeon Sang-2016 ho’s action/horror film Train to Busan is set in South Korea and stars Gong Yoo, Jung Yu-mi, Ma Dong-Seok, Kim Su-an, Choi Woo-Shik, Ahn So-hee, and Kim Eui-sung. Most of the movie is set on a bullet train travelling from Seoul to Busan during a zombie apocalypse that threatens the lives of the passengers.

On May 13, 2016, the movie had its world premiere during the Cannes Film Festival’s Midnight Screenings program. The movie broke the attendance record of more than 10 million viewers on August 7, becoming the first Korean movie of 2016. Gong Yoo and Jung Yu-mi, who both appeared in the 2011 movie The Crucible, are reunited in the movie. On July 15, 2020, a sequel called Peninsula was made available in South Korea.

A father and daughter attempt to flee Seoul during a zombie outbreak by taking a train to Busan. Several additional passengers, all battling for their lives, join them along the way. The train’s passengers are killed as the zombies slowly make their way aboard. The father and daughter are among the few survivors at the film’s conclusion.

Most of the film was shot in South Korea, more specifically in the metropolis of Busan. The actual Busan Train Station was the backdrop for the opening scene where the train enters the station.

Seok-woo and his daughter reside in an apartment building in the Gwangalli neighborhood of Busan. The city of Gimhae is home to the Gimhae International Airport, where Seok-woo and Su-an first encounter Yon-suk.

Seok-place woos of employment is in the Haeundae neighborhood of Busan. In the Centum City neighborhood of Busan, the department store known as Shinsegae Centum City is where the group hides from the zombies. Last but not least, the train that they all boarded to travel to Busan was a former Korean National Railroad vehicle.

The beginning of the movie takes place in Seoul, the first location. Seok-woo, the central figure, is boarding the train at Seoul Station. The second destination is Busan, which is reached by train from there.

In the third location, Yongsan District, we see the characters arriving at the terminal that zombies have overrun. The survivors make their last stand against the zombies at the fourth and final location, Gwangalli Beach.
