Yellowstone’s fifth season is a mystery at the moment as far as the narrative and characters are concerned. The creator, Taylor Sheridan, isn’t scared of offending fans on his journey. Beth Dutton (Reilly)’s life hangs in the balance during the fourth season following the events of the third season. Fans may also expect to see Oscar-winning actor Coster as Dutton patriarch John Dutton if the whole cast survives the fourth season.

Wes Bentley will play Jamie Dutton, Reilly will play Beth Dutton, and Grimes will return as Kayce Dutton. In the fourth series, Cole Hauser will reprise his role as Rip Wheeler. Kelsey Asbille stars as Monica Long Dutton, Danny Huston stars as Dan Jenkins, Ian Bohen stars as Ryan, and Gil Birmingham stars as Chief Thomas Rainwater.

In contrast with the cliffhanger endings of Yellowstone seasons 3 and 4, season 4 ended with a surprising sense of optimism. We hope, however, that the fifth season will answer a few questions for the fans. The ranch’s future is one of the questions raised by Kayce’s apocalyptic vision. Furthermore, what is in store for Beth Dutton, Jimmy, and Emily in terms of the 6666 spinoffs? However, nothing has been confirmed about the fifth season’s plot, so fans will have to wait for more information.

Yellowstone season 5 has yet to have a trailer since production has not even begun. Several sources link the release of the season 5 trailer to the release of the fourth season, and one of these sources is Cole Hauser. According to Hauser, the finale of the fourth season may surprise audiences. If it were aired before the season 4 finale, the season 5 trailer would make no sense. Because season 4 is expected to run until 2022, we can expect a season 5 trailer then.

Release dates could be announced once the fifth season is confirmed or once filming has begun on the fifth season. Season 5 of the show might take a while to release due to the creator’s busy schedule. There were two more shows about the Yellowstone universe on which Taylor Sheridan worked. Dutton’s family roots are traced to 1883, the show’s prequel. In light of this, 6666 is the working title, which refers to Yellowstone’s modern period.

Yellowstone Ratings

Yellowstone Ratings

Yellowstone premiered with an average of 2.08 million viewers in Live + Same Day, making it Paramount Network’s most-watched original scripted series debut. Counting the two encore broadcasts of the premiere, the premiere audience grows to nearly 04 million. The audience for the premiere more than tripled that for Paramount Network’s most recent comedy series, American Woman, and more than doubled that of its first scripted drama series, Waco.

A subsequent report revealed that after delayed viewing was accounted for, 4.8 million viewers ultimately viewed the premiere. By the third episode of the series, the show had become only second to AMC’s The Walking Dead among cable TV shows. A record-breaking premiere capped Yellowstone’s fourth season.

The premiere premiered to 8.38 million total viewers live plus the same day, making it the most-watched episode of the year on cable. With a 3.25 rating in adults 18-48, the premiere set a new series high in that key demo as well, which was up by 82.0% from the Season 3 premiere. The Yellowstone season four premiere numbers are just another reason why MTV Entertainment Studios is pleased to deepen its relationship with Taylor and work with her on expanding the franchise.” said Chris McCarthy, president, and CEO of MTV Entertainment Studios.

Here are some quick recaps from Season 4

Yellowstone Season 4
Yellowstone Season 4

A lot of people have complained about the “Flanderization” of Beth Dutton, one of the show’s most intriguing characters, in Season 4. However, the series finale finally reveals the trauma that drives her. It reinforces the instincts of a shark and the ability to think two steps ahead like Beth displayed in previous seasons.

In episode nine, Beth angers her father so much that she starts packing to leave the ranch after his disapproval. In the immediate aftermath of Beth’s father’s disapproval, it seems as though her childish desire to please him would triumph over the love and stability that she has with Rip, but John insists that she stay. She becomes determined to make up for her mother’s loss to her father after losing her mother at a young age, and she carries that tragic mentality into adulthood.

It’s difficult to decide who is more depressing – Carter, her new tween charge, or Beth, speaking from a perspective of loss and guilt. Later, Beth walks past Carter, and when he calls her Mama, she lashes out at him. Finally, as she manipulates her half-brother, Beth reminds both Jamie and the audience why she truly views him as a coward. Because of Jamie’s actions, Beth will forever feel the pain of having been sterilized and aborted at 15 years of age. Through the series finale, Beth’s psychological scars proved so compelling that viewers may see her return to her nuanced self.

Given that season 5 has not yet been confirmed and Cole Hauser has announced that the cast will all be working together in what will be their fifth season, it’s hard to predict that season 6 will happen. Season 4’s conclusion will depend on how the story progresses. A possible end for the entire series could come in season 5.
