The series is about Toru Kirishima who is given the responsibility by Kazuhiko Sakuragi to take care of his 7-year-old daughter, Yaeka. The rest of the series shows how Toru takes care of Yaeka while having no experience babysitting and how it changes his approach to life.

The series finale begins with Kirishima Toru, Kei Sugihara, and Sara-chan’s dad discussing Yaeka enrolling in the same school as Sara and how thrilled Yaeka would be to be in the same class as Sara-chan.

Sara goes to school and tells that she wants to be friends with everyone and she manages to gain more friends. She invites Yaeka to play with her but she refuses. Yaeka is amazed by how Sara managed to get friends so fast.

Aoi san comes to visit Kazuhika along with his son Koki Kun. Koki-Kun goes to play with Yaeka while Aoi chan goes to meet the boss. Kazuhiko welcomes him which makes Aoi emotional. Aoi apologizes for taking too long to visit. They discuss how Toru is drastically changed as he is extremely calmer than before.

They reminisce 8 years ago when Miyuki was pregnant and Toru came home beaten up. Aoi and Toru start fighting and Miyuki enjoyed how lively they were, she wonders how lively the house would be when the baby is born.

Kazuhiko asks how Sanae was doing and Aoi assured him that she was doing great. Aoi looks back at the time when Sanae was pregnant. He thanks her for everything and shares how he always wanted to start a family on his own as he always admired a “real family”.

But he feels if begins a family with him while he is in that family it would end up causing trouble for Sanae and her family. This makes Sanae emotional and very glad that she gets to spend the rest of her life with him.

One day, it gets very late and Sanae does not get a text from Aoi which makes her extremely worried. Meanwhile, Aoi gets stabbed when he tries to save Toru. He goes back to meet Sanae injured which made her get a panic attack after seeing him bleeding. Ever since that day she starts to hyperventilate whenever a tiny thing made her worry which made her sick very often which made him realize that she has been hiding all her fears just for the sake of his happiness

Kazuhiko assured Aoi that other people can protect them but no one except him can protect his family and he explains he must be ready to risk his life for his own family. Aoi goes to Sanae and explains that he left his family and his real family is her and the baby in her belly. Aoi proceeds to explain to Kazuhika that he is now happy with two children.

Aoi and Toru watch the kids play together. Aoi saw the transformation of Toru and realises that he didn’t have to worry about Toru so much anymore. Aoi gives them the cakes he bought and also reminisces how he always ate cake with Sanae.

Aoi and his son leave and Toru is glad that Yaeka made a new friend today. The next day, Yaeka sees Sara playing with her friends in the playground while she sits and draws in the class. One of her classmates drops her things which makes her crayon break. Yaeka gives her blue crayon to her classmate. Her classmate ask her if she wants to draw together as she always wanted a friend to draw with. Yaeka agrees and they became friends who draw together.

The season ends with Toru finding Yaeka walking home with Sara and her new friend which made him extremely glad!
