In contrast to her classmate Izumi Miyamura, a depressing and seemingly geeky lad with spectacles, Kyoko Hori is an intelligent and well-liked high school student. When she’s at home, Hori is a homebody who keeps her clothes casual and takes care of her younger brother, Souta. To avoid jeopardizing her reputation and worrying others, she makes every effort to keep this information from her peers. Souta returns home one day bleeding from the nose. A young man who goes by the name of Miyamura had been with him. He had several tattoos and body piercings.

They decide to maintain their actual identities a secret from their classmates after recognizing Hori even when she is dressed casually. But as time goes on and they get to know one another better, they realize they have more in common than they first imagined. They resolve to work together to help one another maintain their after-school identities a secret. As time passes, the two discover that they are now closer than ever.

The kids clear out their lockers as the conclusion of the school year draws near. Remi wants to go on a trip with the rest of her friends, but she is concerned that they could drift apart in the future. Her friends comfort her that they will all stay friends. Miyamura muses on how different his and the other students’ school experiences may have been if he hadn’t unintentionally run upon Hori. During Sengoku’s speech during the graduation ceremony, Miyamura unintentionally sneezes, generating a commotion. He then addresses his former self, saying that he would no longer turn a blind eye to who he once was. While Sakura expresses her gratitude to Ishikawa, Sawada bids adieu to Hori.

Yanagi talks to Yuki about the possibility of their group going on a trip together at some point. Motoko looks to be walking Iura home as Kyosuke arrives to play pranks on Miyamura and Hori, and she notices her brother’s altered demeanor at school. Together, Miyamura and Hori leave the house as he muses on all the things he adores about her, the things she has done to encourage him to come out of his shell, and what he may do to express his gratitude.

A beautiful and well-liked woman named Kyoko Hori and a shy and introverted man named Izumi Miyamura are the two main characters in the narrative “Horimiya.” The two are very different in terms of social standing and outlook while attending the same high school. Their school personas, however, are purposefully cultivated to conceal their true selves from those beyond the academic institution’s gates. When Izumi, the geek, goes outdoors, he dresses in punk-style with earrings and tattoos. Izumi leads a more adventurous life. Kyoko cares for her little brother Souta while wearing casual clothing in the meantime.

When the two run into one other outside of school, they make a promise to keep their respective secrets from their fellow students. The two finally began to feel a connection as the narrative went on. They eventually profess their love in the end, and their friends approved and encouraged them in their union. The two were seen receiving their high school diplomas in the last episode of the show.

We will most certainly see a continuation of Kyoko and Izumi’s romance if the series is renewed for Horimiya Season 2. The source material has already been used up in the first season. Therefore, if the anime wants to continue the series, they will need to come up with a fresh plot.
