Accel world is a Japanese light novel series which is directed by Masakazu Obara, Written by Hiroyuki Yoshimo and the music is given by Hiroyuki Oshima, MintJam, and Onoken. The first season of Accel World was released on April 7, 2012, it consists of 24 episodes plus 2 OVA episodes. The show was a big hit when it was released back in 2012, after getting such great response fans were even more excited for the next season.
The story of this show revolves around Haruyuki Arita who is an overweight boy, he gets terribly bullied during middle school. He finds happiness in playing video games. One day he suddenly finds out that all his high scores are topped by Kuroyukihime who is the vice president of the student council and then the story continues. As this show is based on gaming the youth it gained a lot of popularity amongst them.
Accel world season 1 Story
Haruyuki is an overweight kid who gets bullied during middle school. He loves playing games and finds peace in doing that. He finds himself thrown into a deadly match against Ash Roller, Haruyuki gets defeated in this match. Cyan Pile tries to seek a challenge with Kuroyukihime in the battle within the Accel World. Haruyuki doubts that Cyan Pile is challenging Kuroyukihime and later Cyan Pile’s identity is revealed and he turns out to be one of his closest friends of Haruyuki.
Cyan Pile’s and Sliver crow’s battle ends with Silver Crow’s victory, Haruyuki then focuses on training himself for Accel World. Later the battle between Black Lotus and Yellow Radio is halted due to the sudden appearance of chrome disaster and Silver crow is wracked with fear as he witnesses the monstrous power of his target.

Accel World Season 2 Release Date
The first season of Accel World was aired in 2012 and the release date of Accel world season 2 is not yet announced. The new episodes were expected after the 10th Anniversary of the franchise back in 2019. But there was no sign of new episodes seen since then so it’s very much difficult for us to conclude whether there is a season 2 coming or not? Fans have been waiting for a long time for the new episodes and it seems they need to wait a little longer.
The first season had won the hearts of many people and now it’s really disappointing that we haven’t got any new episodes since 2012. Still, there might be a little hope and we need to wait until any official news is out so stay tuned and we hope for some positive news soon!
