Principal photography for the show resumed on September 28, 2018, in New York City. Filming for the series ended on December 10, 2018, and a first-look still image was released on December 20, 2018, which included Michelle Buteau, Jill Scott, and Ryan Michelle Bathe.
The series debuted on BET+ with nine episodes on September 9, 2019. Consisting of ten episodes the second season of the series aired on July 15, 2021. The basic storyline of First Wives Club is about a first wife residing with her husband in a huge mansion. She loves her husband and her children but things have not been easy for her when it comes to her children.
